I’d say that if you’re just writing Quora 3 years later, it likely does not fit the definition of harassment. If you want to go the extra mile, go to the dealer where you traded in the car and have them contact the person whom they sold the car to, for follow up. The question remains, why did you not deal with the recall issue while you owned the car ?
BMW won't replace activated airbags that were subject to the Takata recall. Airbags that are activated in a collision would be replaced as part of repairing the vehicle. Any bags that are still intact but subject to the recall would be replaced by BMW.
All manufacturers that used Takata airbags have already found another supplier since Takata went bust several years ago.
If the recall covers all those things, it’s at BMW’s expense. Not quite sure what “blow up heater” is supposed to be; I’m guessing this is the circuit that warms up the PCV valve, which is indeed under a recall.

Virtually all automakers issue recalls. It's not so much a quality control issue with the automaker it's self, it's more of a parts supplier issue. Most auto makers share many of the same part's suppliers especially electrical systems that could be defective from the supplier it's self. Take the airbag recall for an example. That's not a Toyota issue when GM, Ford, Nissan, Chrysler, Mercedes, BMW, Honda were all recalled for the same thing. That problem is an issue with airbag and seatbelt supplier Takata.
