What is it like to earn Rs.60 million per year in India? How many people earn Rs. 6 crore income per year in India?

Bangalore - This is about my Brother-in-law’s cousin Her dad owns an industry in Bangalore. Their net income is more than ,100 crores, per annum. She did her Industrial engineering in Bangalore and went to NYC for MS. After which she came back and is taking care of her family business. She has travelled the world over. Been to a lot of exotic locations. They have a battalion of cars. Here’s the list. Black Audi A4 and A6. White Audi Q5 and Q7,. White Audi TT. She even got a ,Merc, sedan for her 21st birthday. This New year they bought 4 cars on a single day. ,2 Merc SUVs, a BMW 530d and a Jaguar. She works out in one of the poshest gyms in the city. She is super fit and is very beautiful. Way better looking than a lot of Bollywood actresses. She doesn’t have to think twice before buying anything. She eats at the best restaurants in town. Her Instagram is filled with pics of food and awesome destinations. Her work out videos and pics are really motivational. She has a closet full of the best dresses and oh my! Shoes. Racks of them. She also has a collection of ,Louis Vuitton ,bags. Not to mention the latest gadgets( iPhone 6S etc). Once she went to ,Mac cosmetics store ,in Orion mall and bought products worth 45k. She stays in the best 5 star hotel whenever she goes out of town and travels First class always. Her dress sense is remarkable and she has her own designers. Her routine is usually wake-up, hit the gym, get ready, go to her industry, see through the daily affairs, come back home in the afternoon, take a nap and head out to meet friends. Weekends are for partying of course. Her lifestyle is really inspiring and one would definitely dream of such a lifestyle. Inspite of being super rich, she is extremely down to Earth and doesn’t have one bit of ego. Looking at her, yes , it definitely feels awesome to be having such a humongous income. You wouldn’t have any problem with regard to finances. PS: She recently got engaged to her childhood sweetheart :)

How can I become a 'gym Bro'?

Hahah why do you want to become a Gym Bro in the first place ? Uau. Hahaha Well, those guys reflect a part of their being on how they train. Specific personalities are prone to adapt the gym bro behavior in the gym, so in a nutshell you are born as a one, you can't become one. An introvert person can't become a gym bro. You can try to be one but I'm telling you, you have to be one of them to enjoy the gym bro experience. Otherwise you would feel like a person who likes to party but is stucked on an African tribe party, not knowing how to behave, yeah it's awkward! I'm going to relate to the bros of my country, Albania, since they are the only bros I've encountered in my gym journey. Before the bro enters the gym, he parks his car, preferable a Benz, BMW or Audi at the most viewed spot of the parking lot. He goes and take his enormous sport bag at the back of his car. Than he approaches his kingdom with a slow but heavy step. He enters the gym as a King Gorilla enters his personal territory. Beating and not beating the chest is the only thing that makes the difference between this two species! The only person he talks is the gym owner. Usually a big business talk is made or a maybe his car has some problems with the turbo it can't reach 350 kmh in 10 seconds, who knows. Mostly important things are being talked. Grown up bros usually train with a skinny, black T-shirt and they are always carefull to cover their legs even in summer. Anyway one can't get the eyes off their monster arms. They made me dream for years like a fat child dreams about thanksgiving day. (My big arm and black shirt have nothing to do with me being a bro I swear) They approach their tool to train, usually the bench or the dumbbells, they start their legs workout with some arm curls just to warm up you know, to make the blood flow. You have to be careful walking around them. Better don't get closer than 2 meters from where they are training , or else they will feel like their personal space is invaded and you know what happens when you threaten a King Gorillas dominance, it means fight. Never ask how much is left for him to finish. He will offend you or if you are lucky and he is in a good mood, just ignore you. When I used to train in a small local gym, two friend bros, on a chest day used 90% of the weight plates the gym had, to load their bench bars. Both worked as bodyguards and no I never complained just waited for them to finish and yeah I had to unload the bars myself. When a female entered a bros sight, he let go of his killer look and believe it or not he smiled. We all smiled. What a moment. Those beasts have a different approach towards the builded guys. They maybe can spoil you with some advices like skip the legs today cause you badly need to add two more inches to your arms, do that and you will look like an animal (*makes sure his arm is visible to you*) One time a bro saw the fire on how I was training. I was doing some heavy pull downs and fuck me he came and helped me to add 4 more reps to my set. I remember it as it was yesterday. It felt like Obama came along and helped me carrying my shopping bags to the car. Bro you have more important stuff to do than help me with my filthy tasks but thanks. *With watery eyes*: Here take a banana. So at the end of this writing, besides the fact that you have to be born as a gym bro, if you want this heavy weight title so bad you have to earn it. No gorilla asked on quora how do I become a king gorilla. He went, he fought, he got fucked up, he fought again and if he wanted bad enough to become a KING GORILLA he succeeded. It means free banana and pussy for a long time.

How can one make $4,000/month sitting at home in 6 weeks of time?

Making that amount of money on the Internet is quite realistic. Think about it: To make $4000 per month you have to earn $133 per day If you are OK with working 7 hours per day, you need to earn $19 an hour Earning $19 an hour should be easy, right? Let's see how we can do it. When making money online, the most important thing is to have a ,solid foundation, a complete understanding, of what you are doing. Personal branding is everything. This is not like flipping burgers or any other no-brainer job. To build your online brand you will probably need to refer to some other Quora topic, or you might want to go through several online courses. Now let's go back to our cash problems. For you to earn money you need people to pay you for something (,duh,). So let's move on to activities that may bring you money. The boring stuff Freelancing, - this is a great way to earn money online, you will need to draw stuff, code stuff, take pictures of stuff and write some more stuff. It is very boring and for some of these activities you will actually need to know what you're doing. That's where these 6 weeks of preparation will be useful. Being a Personal Assistant, - also boring, but some people love doing that. My friend does that and she makes some good money off of it (> $4000). So why not. Selling stock photography, - If you are an expert photographer (or your wife and kids are) you can try to get to your target sum by uploading some of your best pictures online and selling them. You need to be really good and you need to have a lot of pictures taken though. Unrealistic for most. Remote Teaching, - teach people English, Chinese or yoga. My wife's English teacher charges around $17 an hour and he works every day for 12 hours or so. You do the math. (He uses Italkie as a platform). Now let's talk about some stuff that is not so boring. I will not go into stocks and Forex, as I am not an expert, and you actually may lose all of your money there. So don't do it if you are not an expert. (The) not boring stuff Sadly, doing not boring stuff is much more difficult but it may (or may not) give you (much) better results. Let's go. Build a personal brand and ,sell your expertise by doing online coaching, - this reminds me of the previous point which is ,Remote Teaching,, but it brings in an ,entrepreneurial twist,. some Quora users who posted their answers before me gave out some awesome links to online courses you might want to go through in order to teach yourself on how to build a personal brand around you and start using it to make some money. Coaching can be done privately through skype, or not so privately through webinars. That is how I learned to program. I attended free webinars and then paid the guy to coach me in a private manner. It did cost me money, but it all paid off quite fast. Create a site ,(or ,hire, somebody to do that) and turn it into a money making machine by gaining traffic and monetizing on AdSense or referral programs. I am ,not, talking about launching a startup. Of course, that is a non-trivial task. Millions of people are struggling everyday trying to come up with ideas and methods make their sites do good, including me, working hard everyday on Algosaur. You can try and get some ideas from listening to some ,awesome marketing podcasts,, reading some (hint) SEO related forums or subscribing to some marketing newsletters. Best part of this variant is that if you make it a reality it will start bringing you passive income faster than all of my other points mentioned, which, of course, is really nice. Launch a Kickstarter project,. If you have had an idea of an innovative physical product now may be a good time to give it a go and . 6 weeks should be enough to come up with a prototype and film a good marketing video that sells. Find articles of people telling about their successful (and no so much) crowdsourcing campaigns. Here's a good one, for example: ,How we took our Hackaball side-project all the way to Kickstarter,. A physical goods subscription service, - if you are able to produce something at home or at work, you might as well sell it to your neighbourhood. Here are a few examples: my neighbour makes killer cupcakes. She sells them through Instagram and through a subscription. She uses Instagram to do 100% of her marketing. She drives a new BMW X3 and recently hired 2 employees. Another example: a girl that goes to the same gym I do makes Fresh Detox Juices at home. She bottles them herself and first thing in the morning she drives to several gyms to deliver her fresh product. By the time I come to the gym the fridge is almost empty. One bottle costs ~$12. I don't know which car she drives but her Chanel bag looks really nice :) So I guess what I am trying to tell you is that making $4000/mo is possible. But it requires effort. I wish you all the luck. Now go hustle.

Why do people leave their luxurious life in the US and go back to India?

TO BE WITH MY PARENTS. Yes, its as simple as that! My parents were/are quite healthy and also well to do financially but they were in there late sixties (I returned back in 2012) then. I lived in US for almost 7 years and even before I left to US in 2006 to do my MS I had made the decision that I will be returning back to India. As and when the days passed, I had to recollect my decision/promise almost every week so that I don’t get used to the lifestyle in US. But I made the most of it, after my Masters I spent the next 5 years working as a consultant travelling and living in different parts of US, always driving from one part of US to another in my loyal, faithful 1996 Camry!. I always wanted to buy a Mini Cooper or a BMW 7 series, I had saved enough money to simply walk into a showroom and buy a brand new one without any loan but I didn’t …. because I knew I had to go back shortly and I was saving money to start my own company back in India. Because I was single I had lot of flexibility in making decision on where to work, finding a place to live was not at all a problem thanks to Craigslist. All I had was a car and 2 bags and I always lived in a shared furnished apartment. This not just saved me lots of money but was always super convenient, I also didn’t get married when I was in US because then returning back to India will not be just my decision. Food was never a problem to me, in-fact I enjoy trying different kinds of food and experienced food of different cultures. Finally when the day came for me to return back to India I ,kissed, the ground to express my gratitude towards a ,great country, which gave me so much and taught me a lot!. Honestly, living in US changed my outlook towards work and life. Once I arrived in India I kissed the ground to express my gratitude towards my “,Motherland,” I returned back (Continuing to work for my client in US), got married almost immediately. The first 6 months after returning back to India was totally confusing /frustrating to me to get used to the lifestyle again here. But I kept reminding myself “,Hey, this is your homeland! You spent the first 27 years of your life here before going to US… This is not unfamiliar to you, don’t act ridiculous like those crazy ‘desis’ who visit India,”. Finally, it all worked out. I started my own Software Consulting Company the next year, happily married (now with 2 kids) and living with my parents. Do I miss US? Ofcourse, all the facilities, convenience, the driving, the lovely gyms, the coffee (Ok, I get that here too!), the people, etc etc… is it worth coming back to India? Of-Course!,, I have peace of mind that I came back for my parents during their old age in-spite of all the glittering attractions, in-spite of my friends “advising” me to stay back for few more years until I get my greencard (I know how long that takes!), in-spite of the amazing lifestyle I had there I came back and that is something I’m proud of myself. Thanks for reading!

What is the craziest thing your ex did to you?

We were high school sweethearts for four years. We broke up in our first year of college to see other people, him saying he didn’t want to be a philanderer and me not trying to hold on to him from 200 miles away in the fall of 1985. Fast forward to 2012, 27 years later we found each other on Facebook and over an amazingly very short amount of time, we decided that we were interested in getting back together and making things permanent with a plan to marry. He immediately found work in my area, quit his job and moved iut of his mother’s apartment and into my home that I owned for 14 years, all in a matter of 6 weeks time. This should have been red flag number one, but it wasn’t. It seemed to me like he was very serious about me and the relationship, making definitive decisions without hesitation as I was him,and all was beautiful and quite well for about 3 months. Then the nightmare began. One day I was sitting in the car waiting for him to cash his check. He’d left his phone in the car on the dashboard face up. While waiting a text message of a woman body flashed on the screen. It was just brief enough for me to see it was a female barely clothed. My spidy sense told me “you better look deeper girl”, so I picked up the phone and I did. Turns out to my surprise he and some woman I didn’t know were exchanging texts and his last one to her was “send me a full body pic.” I immediately asked him why he was requesting to see other women’s bodies when he had mine to enjoy anytime he wanted. I am attractive and was not in any way reluctant to please my man at his request so my question was a valid one. We argued and I let it go, but kept it in my memory bank for future reference. Over the next couple of months he would openly flirt online with Ex girfiends who were friends on his page. No respect for me was given even when I mentioned this bothered me. One Ex was even bold enough to tell him she was getting shivers up and down her spine at the thought of seeing him again when he mentioned he’d be in town visiting his son soon. This continued despite me asking him to “put her in check” or unfriend” the disrespectful Ex. He went on that trip and his hotel room phone disconnected mysteriously right in the middle of our conversation. I wasn’t able to reach him again until very late the next day. He said he went to sleep. Righhht! He returns and one day a call comes through and it’s anothe Ex. I ask him why she’s still calling him and leaving messages that sound like he’s her man. He explained it away saying “oh she’s just a psychopath nympho…I’ve told her to leave me alone and that we are done and Ive moved on but she won’t stop calling.” So I go into let’s put an end to the nonsense mode and tell him to call her right then and there in front of me and tell her what he just told me. He obliged and I let the incident go after he made the call, left her a voicemail and I physically saw him do it with my own eyes. By this time I have my radar up looking for anymore signs of betrayal. He doesn’t take long to provide me with some more foolishness. I find a woman’s umbrella in the backseat of my car, he one day comes in and tells me he’s joining the gym near his job so he can work out after work, even though I live to work out and they have the same gym near where we live. My suspicion grows. Then I go on my computer that he would use often and find all kinds of history of visits to porno sites. Apparently he’d been visiting those after I’d go to bed at night instead of coming up to bed with me. But I’m willing to just let that go too cause we are still doing great in the bedroom and he says he’s very happy so no cause for alarm right? Wrong! I decide to check on who is riding around in my car leaving umbrellas behind, a car that I bought (since his credit was bad) just so that he would have a way to get to/ from work being that we lived in the suburbs with limited transportation. We split the car payments but it was primarily just for his use and I had put the down payment on it. So I plant a recorder in the car and am not very surprised at this point to hear he has become quite chummy with some woman at work and not only was he buying her lunch every day, but she’s the reason he was so eager to get a gym membership near his job to work out after work. By now it’s all becoming very clear that this guy who had proposed marriage at the time he decided to move in was cheating on me. I confronted him, he denied it and told me “I love you, don’t want nobody else, not trying to get with anybody else. stop being so insecure.” He even went so far as to suggest I “get help.” Since I still loved him and really couldn’t believe what I was seeing or wasn’t ready to, I quieted down and started to look at myself to see how I was creating this situation that he claimed was just my insecurities. I had booked flights, a hotel, and bought tickets for a concert a few months prior to the very first incident of betrayal and they were non-refundable. It was supposed to be in celebration of my birthday weekend. He said he didn’t want to go, I said fine, and was not going to go unless he came too. Saturday morning rolls around and it’s time to leave for the flight. He asks me why I’m not going and I let him know that if he’s not coming I’m not going. A few hours pass as I guess he was hoping I’d change my mind and just go. He then says “no sense in wasting the money, let’s go.” He runs out briefly, returns with a gift bag, and birthday card and hands it to me with a kiss. I now look back on that kiss as the kiss of Judas. So I accept the gift, we pack and off we go to our trip. We have a wonderful time and there is no sign of anything being amiss until day three, my birthday morning. He jumps up out a warm cozy bed with me claiming he is going to get us some coffee. My radar immediately goes up but I play it cool, not trying to start any trouble. I only wish that was all he went to do. Turns out this cheating man has only jumped up and left out so that he can make a phone call to the woman at his job to let her know he’ll be back to work the next day cause “I decided to go on the trip with her since she wouldn’t leave.” I won’t say how I heard this conversation but I’ll leave it to your imagination. :). Luckily I didn’t hear this until after we returned or he might still be on that trip. So one and one is now beginning to equal three and I now see he’s definitely not a man of honesty nor integrity and is at this point just playing me for a fool. If you haven’t guessed by now, the plan was for me to leave on the trip by myself so that while I was gone he could bring the woman from work up into our bedroom to do what grown folks do. So I’ll bring this foolish union to a final end with the grand finale. A few days after we got back from the birthday trip, he’s at work and calls me to say he left his phone home. My radar goes back up as since I’d known him he never leaves his phone home. I also made note that the night before he’d made it a point to tell me three times that he was going to be getting off work late at 6. Uhuh. So after the call I decide somethings up and I’m going to finally get to the bottom of it all. I leave work which for me is 65 miles away fro where he works and go rent a car. It just so happens all they have left is a sleek BMW 6 with tinted windows. To say that I was happy to have lucked out with that car would be a gross understatement. So I’m driving down the Turnpike going a little over the limit, feeling like I can’t get to his job quick enough. The hours ride gives me time to gather my thoughts and devise a plan. I arrive at his job around 3 pm and see no sign of our car that is really my car in the parking lot. I dial his work line and the receptionist is nice enough to inform me that not only is he not there, but he’s left for the day and won’t be back. Now didn’t he say he was leaving at 6 pm 3 times? So I GPS “our” car and it shows that he’s at the gym. I’ll let you all guess which one. Ha ha! So I ride over to the gym and voila! There’s our car. So three hours pass and I patiently wait to see who emerges, when and with who. He makes sure not to disappoint me as he comes out of the gym holding hands, looking like he doesn’t have a care in the world with the woman from his job. I decide to ride by then both as she and him are preparing to get in “our” car to go for a little ride. I make sure to roll the windows down but amazingly neither one of them notices me. By this time I am quite heated and ready to pounce, expose and cause a scene but something tells me to follow the married woman with a child and my fiancé to see what will happen next. So I literally ride right behind them almost tailgating them through the neighborhood until they finallly come to a stop and park in a small parking lot of a community development. I park theee cars down and wait to see what’s next. After a good while neither of them emerge from the car, so I pull out and move the tinted windowed BMW right next to “our” car, the new love mobile. I peer over and see what looks like a man, yes, my man and this woman getting quite busy, kissing, squeezing, hugging and let’s just say, they are getting it all in. Whoosa!! A big lump begins to form in my throat and my eyes tear up as I walk closer and closer to the car, “our” car and get the full and nasty picture. I stand there for what seems like two decades trying to figure out what to do, how to deal, and wipe my eyes thinking this must be just a dream. “Please let me sit down, this is making me sick!” In the words of Ricky Ricardo. After several minutes, still un-noticed by either of them I go back to the BMW, reach in my purse, grab my set of keys to “our” car, walk back over to the drivers side wehere my fiancé is bent over giving her a hickey and press the keypad to open the drivers side door. I yank the door open to a full display of my fiancé and the woman doing their thing and from the bottom of my gut scream-roar out like a wounded Lion “Are you two having a F?@#ing good time?!!!!” They are startled and disturbed enough to immediately stop what they’re doing as they both turn to stare at me the Intruder, both looking idioticly dumbfounded and dazed like two deer in headlights with their fur down. I fade to black literally and figuratively as the truth is revealed about the man I trusted, believed in and was so foolishly thinking of spending the rest of my life with. And that is the story of the craziest thing an Ex ever did to me.

What are some things people (stuck in a tech startup culture bubble) in Silicon Valley may be shocked to learn about the outside world?

What happened to the murderers of Junko Furuta?

As of 2019, within 3 decades of Junko Furuta’s death, all four of them have been released. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Junko Furuta’s death, but surprisingly she is not really remembered in Japan, from what I heard. I was born and raised in China. Japan as a country can always inflict some complicated feelings among the Chinese. Despite living nearby the location of Nanking Massacre for 5 years, I always try not to judge a nation by its past and sickened individuals, even when some Japanese politicians repeatedly pay their tributes to the Yasukuni Shrine., But nothing makes it harder to keep such complicated feelings at bay when I read stories of Junko Furuta’s murder, what has happened to her murderers in the following three decades, and how badly the criminal justice system has failed this innocent 17-year-old who can no longer stand up for herself. I have written an answer concerning what happened in Junko Furuta’s last days. ,Alex C. Lee's answer to What's the most gruesome murder in history? Junko Furuta was a 17-year-old popular high school girl who was kidnapped and tortured by 4 boys in brutal and unimaginable ways for 44 days before she died. The only reason for the kidnap was that she turned down a guy whom she had no interest in dating. In the 44 days leading up to her death, here is a non-exhaustive list of what she had undergone: Held captive and forced to pose as one of the boys’ girlfriend. Forced to call her parents and tell them that she had run away and was staying safely with friends. Starved and malnourished. Raped more than 500 times. Fed with cockroaches and urine. Beaten up countless times with bamboo sticks, iron rods and golf clubs. Forced to masturbate and strip in front of others. Burned with cigarette lighters and fireworks set off in her ears, mouth & vagina. Foreign objects inserted into her vagina/anus including bottles, a still lit light-bulb, a cigarette, scissors, and skewers of grilled chicken. Hands tied to ceiling and body used as a punching bag until her damaged internal organs made blood run from her mouth. Flammable liquid poured on her feet and legs, then lit on fire. Forced to sleep outside in December days and sleep inside a freezer. Hot wax dripped onto her face, eyelids burned by cigarette lighter, left nipple cut and destroyed with pliers. Stabbed with sewing needles in chest area. Body mutilated. She had been severely damaged before her last breath: Heavy bleeding from vagina due to scissors. Nose filled with so much blood that she can only breath through her mouth. Vomited when tried to drink water (her stomach couldn’t accept it). Unable to urinate properly. Injuries were so severe that it took over an hour for her to crawl downstairs and use the bathroom. Loss of bladder and bowel control. Eardrums severely damaged. Extreme reduced brain size. Unable to move from the ground. Drastically altered appearance - unable to make out her facial features, severely crippled body with a rotting smell. During the last few hours she lived, the four boys beat her mutilated body with an iron barbell, put a candle’s flame to her face and eyes, poured lighter fluid onto her legs, arms, face and stomach, and then lit her on fire. This final torture lasted 2 hours. After Junko Furuta died, the four boys put her body in a 50-gallon drum that they filled with concrete and disposed of it in a park. The sentence they received is disproportionately lenient, even for juvenile offenders. The four boys pled guilty to “committing bodily injury that resulted in death”, rather than murder. The court chose to seal the identities of the four boys as they were legally juveniles at the time of the crime. However, a few journalists discovered their identities and published their names, believing that they did not deserve anonymity. Hiroshi Miyano, the alleged leader of the crime and also the guy whose miltiple romantic advances were turned down by Junko Furuta, was sentenced to ,20 years in prison. ,He was 18 years old at the time of the crime. He was ,released in 2009,. Nobuharu Minato, whose home was the location where Junko Furuta was tortured and murdered, was sentenced to ,5–9 years in prison,. He was 15 years old at the time of the crime. Yasushi Watanabe received ,5–7 years in prison,. He was 17 at the time of the crime. Jō Ogura served ,8 years, in a juvenile facility before his ,release in 1999,. He was 17 at the time of the crime. Each of the four perpetrators were protected by special provisions applied to juvenile offenders. During the court proceedings, a couple of people in the courtroom fainted while listening to the details of the brutal rape and torture. It is believed that the four boys’ affiliation with the Yazuka crime gang contributed to their lenient sentence. For your reference, here is the court document in Japanese, in case you can read the language. ,http://www.courts.go.jp/app/files/hanrei_jp/261/020261_hanrei.pdf (*The house where Junko Furuta was held captive*) What makes the story sad is that Junko Furuta could have survived, only if the bystander or the police officials make a slight effort. The four boys were not the only ones who had raped her. Forensic examiners found sperm and pubic hair of other people on Junko Furuta’s remains. The four perpetrators invited their friends and acquaintances over to Minato’s place, boasting that an “imprisoned woman” was locked up there, available for sex. Even a young girl got invited to Minato’s place and she doodled on Junko’s face. It was estimated that at least 30 others had engaged in sexual activities with her, and at least 100 people knew of her imprisonment. Nobuharu Minato had a brother, as well as his parents, living in the same house. His brother did nothing except alerting Nobuharu that Furuta might die. His parents did not intervene because they were afraid of their son’s violent tendencies, his affiliation with Yakuza, and losing their reputation in the community. The police had been alerted twice. The first time, Koichi Ihara, one guy among the many who had been inside Minato’s place, told his brother about the incident. Koichi’s brother subsequently contacted the police, and two officers were dispatched to Minato’s place. However, the two officers left after they were told that there was no girl inside the house, without even doing the basic due diligence. The second time, Junko Furuta managed to reach the telephone and call the police, but she was discovered by Hiroshi Miyano before she could say anything on the phone. The police called back, and Miyano told them that he had dialed it by mistake. (*The park where Junko Furuta’s body was dumped*) What makes it even sadder is that the discovery of Junko Furuta’s murder was entirely an accident. Two weeks after Furuta’s death, Hiroshi Miyano and Jō Ogura were interrogated by the police on a separate gang-rape charge. During Miyano’s interrogation, the police brought up an open murder investigation which Miyano mistakenly believed to be Junko Furuta’s. Led into believing that Jō Ogura had already confessed, Miyano told the police where they had disposed Furuta’s body. In fact, the open murder investigation was unrelated to Furuta, and that case remains unsolved until today. Hiroshi Miyano simply unwittingly turned himself and his friends in. Despite their unspeakable torture of Junko Furuta, none of them even bothered to fake remorse, and yet they received extremely lenient sentence. As to where they are now, there isn’t much good news. None of them has shown any signs of remorse. All of them have regained freedom and dated different girls. After his release in 2009, Hiroshi Miyano changed his name to Yokoyama. However, he is known for being very outspoken about his role in the murder. While talking about it, he displays a playful and exultant attitude, as if it were none of his business. He is also known for his high-end lifestyle, taking friends to barbecue parties and strip clubs, speeding around in a BMW, wearing expensive brand clothing, and bragging about his ties to organized crime and multi-level marketing schemes., In 2013, 4 years after his release, Miyano was arrested for suspected fraud. However, there wasn’t sufficient evidence, so he was released without further charges or sentence. At this moment, he is allegedly living a good life and a regular patron t a kickboxing gym. After Nobuharu Minato was released, he changed his name to Shinji and moved in with his mother. In 2006, he married to someone from Romania or Lichtenstein and had a daughter. Later, his wife divorced him and gained the custody of their daughter. A blogger described that despite being unable to stay out of legal trouble, “at the age of 45 he is still well-protected by the juvenile law.” In August 2018, a 45-year-old Minato was arrested for attempted murder. He allegedly beat a 32-year-old male in the right shoulder with an expandable 41-cm truncheon and slashed his throat with a knife. Fortunately, the 32-year-old victim narrowly escaped death and called the police, stating that he had been hit with a truncheon and stabbed in the neck. The police rushed to find the bleeding victim, but Minato had fled the scene. After his arrest, Minato denied the murder allegations. “I beat [the victim] but I didn’t intend to kill.”, After his release from the juvenile facility in August 1999, Jō Ogura changed his name to Jō Kamisaku and boasted about his role in the kidnapping, rape and torture of Furuta. He squandered his father’s savings — which was supposed to be given to Furuta’s parents — buying luxury products and living an extravagant life. Ogura’s mother allegedly vandalized Junko Furuta’s grave, stating that Furuta had ruined her son’s life. Ogura married a Chinese woman at some point, and later divorced her. In July 2004, Ogura assaulted Takatoshi Isono, a 27-year-old male he thought his girlfriend may have been involved with. Ogura tracked Isono down, beat him and shoved him into his truck. Then, Ogura drove to a bar where he beat Isono for another 4 hours, repeatedly threatening to kill Isono and telling him that he had killed before and knew very well how to get away with murder. Ogura was sentenced to 4 years in prison for assaulting Isono. In 2009, he walked free again. So far, Yasushi Watanabe has been the only one who has not yet re-offended. There isn’t much news about him. Google search yielded this result - ,Yasushi Watanabe - Wikipedia,, an anthropologist at Harvard. Since this Yasushi was born in 1967, it isn’t the same person. Some people question why the four boys haven’t received capital punishment for this. While I’m a supporter of death penalty, I don’t think any of them deserve a quick, painless death. They should be locked up and kept alive as long as humanly possible, being raped, tortured, burned alive and humiliated by hundreds of others and having their crimes replicated and inflicted upon them. Some would say such “an eye for an eye” thought makes me as warped as these brutes, but isn’t even more warped to be lenient to all juveniles indiscriminately, wasting resources to rehabilitate those who are clearly beyond hope? Do they really deserve human rights when they never think twice depriving Furuta of hers? In addition to what she had been through, I feel sad that she has never been known to the world as anything other than a gruesome murder case. Before the fatal night in November 1988, she was a normal teenager, about to graduate high school and start a new chapter of her life. She must have had her own dreams, ambitions and hopes about her future like anyone else. She might have even imagined what she wanted to be remembered as after her passing, and “concrete-encased high school girl” was definitely, ,not what she would have liked. I don’t think there will ever be a day passing by that her parents are not haunted by what happened in the last 44 days of their daughter’s life. I doubt if there will ever be a truly “Happy” New Year for anyone who knows her personally, knowing what she has endured on the New Year of 1989. I hope that her friends who wept at her funeral would eventually find some peace, knowing that Junko Furuta has not been completely forgotten.

Would becoming homeless be a good strategy to cut costs?

Not sucking up, but I'd like to thank Quora for posting this question and truly thank everyone for their personal and throughtful answers. I"m not going back to read over this. I just want to post. I would ask Quorans for forgive typos and if anymore wants to edit typos not context, please feel free. This isn't eloquent or has the flow of a nice story because it wasn't it's as choppy and raw as my life was then. After reading, I spent some time wondering if I wanted to answer this question as it "hits close to home". I first figured I would post "Anon". But, I realise that I truly have nothing to be embarrassed about or act anonomously. It was real, it was something that I experienced at a different part of my life. I had no say in the matter (I was a child). It has given me a real sense of never, ever take ,anything ,for granted. I guess in some ways I could say it made me a stronger person. My ability to work with vets, indigent, and those less fortunate with not just compassion - I have a real feel for this stuff. I get it all. No papers, etc. I was there for 5 years. 15 - 20. The 18/19+ years because I was trying to nail down my education as best as possible to carry me through life. When I look back on my transcripts, it shows. So, let's get started. I wouldn't want any young person reading the answers to place some type of gaga romance behind it all. I was both transient and homeless. Without a true address until 21 or so. For those 6 years of my life I don't ever remember being in one single home, long enough to establish friendships. As I live on the east coast I experienced cold, no money for fuel, electricity on limited basis, I had a special way to cook food. (I just figured this out one day-- no lesson) An insant percolater that would boil the water electrically without the coffee filter. I would place water in and then put boil in bag foods in to heat. And, there was a toaster oven for TV dinners. This is the same percolater that I would heat water in to wash, brush my teeth, wash my hair (cup, dish, basin to wash stuff) etc. I'd carry my soap, deordorant, sanitary napkins etc in travel cases. Clothes were kept in plastic bags and I had this mini apartment ironing board. The GE generic iron worked great. It was mostly summer without power, so I just looked wrinkled I guess. I had no friends, so I never went anyplace. There was no toilet connection/no water. A bucket. (My body eventually conditioned to do everything at school). On the weekends, the bucket. Summer -- the bucket and out into the woods to bury. As the area was quite rural, there wasn't a "place" to go and take any type of showers. I don't even think we would have gone and exposed what was happening. The truck stop that Michael Forest Jones in his comments spoke of (coming across the bridge to NJ) was absolutely nothing, but peach fields and corn. Off exit 7 NJ Turnpike. In the morning, I'd get up, and tried to get washed and dressed for school. To this date, I would like to believe that I didn't stink. I tried not to, but I don't know. My highschool a very private college prep. I did get some showers at school after gym. I remember just standing in there feeling the water when all the other girls were long gone. We'd keep water in these 20+ gallon water constainers. 5 a week. Every week. The local laundry had a sink and the owner was kind enough to let my mother fill them when we came in to do laundry. There no place to study or do homework. So whatever I absorbed in school, that was it. There was no place for a friend to come over to help me study. No sleepovers, no birthday parties, no anniversaries. Some years, when winter came, my mother would find a rental property. By March following year, we'd be kicked out for lack of payment and we'd move on. Keeping warm was longjohns. One Thanksgiving, Mac & Cheese cooked on a Kerosene heater. A station wagon (kind of like the one in "Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore"). We drove around in that. Picture driving up to school with Merc's and BMW's, Caddy's and me getting out of a beat up suspensionless wagon that my mom and I might have to sleep in. The kids throught I was odd, and their parents the elite kept them away from me. They are now the owners of muti-million dollar businesses and rightfully so, worked for presidents, etc. . Being homeless you miss out on stability. You miss these chances to propel you in life. It seems once you slip getting a leg back up? My sister, just left and went to live with some family. We never went to social services because then they would have grabbed me. And, even though she was much younger I think she knew I needed to be in school where I was to get by in life. She was right. No matter how hard I've tried over the years to correct it and close the gap - we don't talk. And, never will. She also knew just how vulnerable I was as we both were molested a few years earlier. This would be the one thing in our later years we would discuss before parting ways. Most of the places where we stayed, had roaches. One crawled in my ear while sleeping. So. there I was in prestigious Haddonfield, NJ mortified while my mother tried to lie about what type of bug it was. The doctor was very kind to me. How could he not know. Then, one crawled out of my bag at school years later. My mom bought this used fridge. Finally, I thought we were going to stay for a while (well, the roaches were incubating in the motor and when we moved the fridge..they came out like ants, but these weren't ants) So, we couldn't keep anything around and sprayed and sprayed and sprayed and spayed. Prior to that, as we lived on the east coast in the winter you could close the door to a room and crack a window for refrigeration. My menstural cycles were always horrible (I don't have to get into the rationale as to why). OK -- I'm going to answer where was Dad?..with the new family (this isn't about any anger, etc. I may or may not have had) -- This is about homelessness to save on expenses. Canned peaches. I ate a lot of canned peaches, and we'd go to the dent store at the farmer's market. For a while on weekends we actually operated one. Up at 4 and off we went. And, during the summer I was a fruit picker for spending money and help pay bills. I'd do my summer required reading and get enough money together to buy fashion and money magazines. And, I 'd leave my world and for awhile go to New York with my dad where life was so 180 it's still surreal and I wonder, "WTF"? I don't understand why anyone would want to subject themselves to any part of not having a home as an experiment, It was hard, it was painful, it was lonely, scary, the other illnesses the popped up -- earaches, colds, pap smears, dental, eyes. I can't begin to calculate what the hell is the price on all of this psychologically for those that don't bust through. I am so proud of me. But everytime I see someone living in this manner...."There for the Grace of God.....There for the Grace of God....Thanks Quora

What luxury would you never spend money on, no matter how much money you have?

I’ll answer this as per My Present Financial Condition (things I can afford but don't want to spend money on) : A High End Designer Bag/Purse/Shoe/Watch etc. like LV,Gucci. A Luxury Car like Merc, BMW,Audi. Why? coz at present I Don’t see its worth in my life this much. So may be if I’ll be even rich to afford a Jet :D , that time i’ll buy a Rolls Royce, but not before that. Things I do spend on : Occasional 5 star dinners. Luxury Vacation ,once every 2 years. Gym Membership n Protein shakes basically not more then 5–6% of my Income on Luxury.
