Class-leading cargo capacity, spacious, comfy seating, and high safety and reliability scores are just a few of the features that make the #BMW #X1 one of the best #luxury subcompact SUVs on the market today. https://t.co/rBsGcE7lKD https://t.co/n3xadWRpdY
The 2018 #BMW #X1 is one of the best SUVs on the market for many reasons, including its punchy powertrain, dynamic handling, abundant passenger room, cavernous cargo hold, and high reliability https://t.co/FI8KaVw4XI

The cross country competes with the Mercedes GLA, BMW X1. All reviewers are impressed by how comfortable is. I'm still researching on the reliability of that 2.0 litre turbo Volvo Engine. So there are no negative reviews about it.
@robkerry Family SUV is good for practicality. With JLR, just be mindful of reliability issues. Audi Q5, BMW X1 and X3 worth a look https://t.co/wri09TV61S
@CRCarsTom mini = mixed reliability. My Boss has a 2012 Cooper S with no issues. Wife has a BMW X1 extremely reliable.
@lorenmorris Benz A-Class, BMW X1 or X3, Mazda 6, Volvo XC40 … I like my Hyundai too, and Kias, but Toyota/Honda are the reliability kings. Honda being the more fun to drive between them

I would say that you can't go wrong with either a Volvo XC40 or a Toyota RAV4 we sell them both and find them to be solid reliable cars that hold there value well. The Toyota RAV4 will be the most reliable out of the 2 and therefore the maintenance costs will be lower.
Don’t! Both have French engines! The BMW has the Peugeot engine that is shared with the Mini and the GLA has the Renault….
I really wonder how many answers are based on the actual driving or ownership experience !! I own the 2016 X1 and enjoy every moment spent in it since 1 year. I have test driven and compared every compact SUV under 50 lakh before taking a decision and it proved to be 100% right. A 190 BHP and 400 torque is something you rarely get in this price range. Its over priced in India compared to the global pricing, thanks to the ever greedy tax departments and the excess taxation done on cars, adding another misery as road tax which is around 20% in most states. If you are looking for pure driving pleasure, engine power, torque, looks, reliability and latest design element, there is nothing that comes close to an X1 as of today. I see people comparing to Evoque, thats a totally different price segment and less comfortable drive by any standard, because I have tested both.
Here in Europe we have a lot of organizations and car magazines that publish reliability research. As for actual data, I can give you three European sources on BMW reliability. United Kingdom (Auto Express) First there is Auto Express in the ,United Kingdom, that publishes Driver Power Surveys yearly. In 2016, the overall score of BMW was 91.37 (Source: ,Best cars to own: Driver Power 2016 results,) The top manufacturers were in order: Tesla Lexus Dacia Toyota Honda Mazda Suzuki Skoda Subaru Kia Renault MG Peugeot Porsche Mitsubishi SEAT Jaguar Mercedes Citroen Vauxhall BMW Volvo Audi Fiat Hyundai Ford Alfa Romeo Nissan VW Land Rover Jeep Mini Remember, this was in the UK, hence the MGs and Jags. Germany (TÜV) In ,Germany,, TÜV publishes reports on reliability of cars based on how many of them pass the routine inspection. In Germany, for 2–3 year old cars, BMW fared as follows: BMW Z4, 16th, 4,9 % had problems BMW X1, 20th, 5,1 % had problems BMW 3-series, 31st, 5,9 % had problems BMW X3, 33rd, 6,0 % had problems BMW 1-series, 50th, 6,7 % had problems BMW 5-series, 67th, 7,5 % had problems BMW X5, 67th, 7,5 % had problems In total, 132 makes and models included in the results. For 4–5 year old cars, BMW fared as follows: BMW Z4, 2nd, 6,0 % had problems BMW X1, 5th, 7,2 % had problems BMW 5-series, 11th, 7,9 % had problems BMW 3-series, 39th, 10,7 % had problems BMW 1-series, 48th, 11,2 % had problems BMW X5, 63rd, 12,6 % had problems BMW X3, 105th, 16,4 % had problems As you can see, BMW Z4, the sporty model, got the best reliability. Why? Probably the main reason is the low mileage. Finland From Finland, I can give again vehicle inspection data. For cars that are 5 years old (According to A-Katsastus: ,https://www.a-katsastus.fi/documents/10180/341797/A-Katsastus-vikatilastot-2015-05-vuotta-vanhat-2010-kayttoonotetut.pdf/d88dbdcc-4987-4b2c-ab82-ca78626a097f,): BMW 1-series, 21st, 3,43 % did not pass BMW 3-series, 24th, 3,67 % did not pass BMW X1, 52nd, 6,47 % did not pass BMW 5-series, 75th, 12,34 % did not pass Why are the results different in each country? As you can see, the results are quite different in different countries. I would say it depends greatly on: where and how it has been used which model and specification you have where it has been serviced First of all, there are the conditions. I live in Finland. We got ice and we got snow. Starting your car when it’s freezing outside is taxing on the engine. Salt on the roads corrodes the body of the car. Some makes and models handle winter conditions better than the others. Some German carmakers equip the cars that are imported into Finland with a special “winter pack”. This can include additional insulation, better heating modules etc. Then there is the service. If you service your BMW in Germany at an official BMW service, the service is probably impeccable. They use all original parts, they know what they are doing etc. If, on the other hand, you service your car at some no-name shop in a small village in a small European country… well, your results may vary. If you live in the US, I think all of these factors come into play.
I assume you are looking for something fun and practical. So, ,if buying an SUV is not the sticking point, get yourself a BMW 320d and call it a day. 2017 BMW X1 That is… reasoably priced, comfortable, practical (not SUV practical but it should handle the daily duties just fine) and with that RWD (Rear Wheel Drive) layout, a perfect driver’s daily. 2017 BMW 320d M-Sport But ,if an SUV is your thing, (Toyota) Fortuner should cut the mustard,. It’s reasonably priced, cheaper to own and run, and Toyota’s reputation for their aftersales service is only surpassed by their vehicles’ reliability 2017 Toyota Fortuner 2.8D 4WD
My current car is Hyundai Santro (2007 Model). This year she is going to complete 11 years with our family. I took Santro for many road-trips and I must say, it is comfortable, tough and reliable as your best friend. Overall, Santro is truly a family car. I also drove other car models like Maruti Suzuki Baleno, Swift, Dzire, VW Polo, Toyota Innova etc using self-driven car service. However, my dream car is this car - BMW X1 Everytime I see this car on the road, I couldn’t resist to appreciate its beauty, flawless handling, great looks and awesome features!
I would say the most reliable cars they make has more to do with what engine is in the car. The 6 cylinder motors seem to be smoother running and have problems. The twin turbo v8 found in the 550i for instance doesn’t seem to be quite as reliable as the motor in the 540i
Consumer Reports and JD Power say the X1 wins this matchup for reliability. The 500X is near the bottom of the rankings.
The Prius is definitely more reliable but not even in the same universe as the BMW and Mercedes when it comes to any automotive anything
