Review Q&A bmw x7 transmission

Which is better, Hyundai Palisade Limited or BMW X7? Why?

The Hyundai palisade probably won't blow the transmission at 50k which is now than I can say for the BMW. Much as I like the feel of the BMW, their reliability isn't great.

What can the to-be-car owners expect in 2019?

The automobile industry is going through a massive tectonic shift. More and more car companies are trying to get a place in the already competitive automobile sector in India. The traditional brands like the TATA and the Mahindra have cemented their position, and no brand can ever replace them. On the other hand, global icons like Tesla is about to entre to Indian market quite soon. The company is known for its iconic cars and the ecosystem the company wants to build. The vehicle is entirely electric, and it will take a few years to build a complete electric charging station around the nation. ,New cars launch, have become an integral part of the cycle, with a new car being launched once in a few months. Speaking about the latest car launch, the ,new cars in India, is from BMW. The company is leading the race with its most recent launches, namely the BWM 7 Series and the BMW X7. Both cars have their own set of merits. These cars are crafted for ultra-luxury individuals and are taking the market by storm. The key features of BMW X7 include a 2998cc engine along with an automatic transmission. The car is available in two variants – petrol and diesel and was launched on 24th of July, 2019. Search for the latest car launch in 2019, and you would get a fair share of an idea about the most recent releases.

What are your favorite 2019 BMW X7 features?

Have you seen the transmission in the BMW? In my book, I was always a Mercedes man. Unfortunately BMW makes the best road cars today. They’re not as durable as the Japanese car regarding driving capabilities BMW second to none. Their transmissions are outstanding. Not as durable as the Japanese Toyota brand but they make the transmissions.

How strong is China’s copying ability?

China economy find it’s niche in mass manufacturing and when you have most of the parts available, How hard will be to finish an already successful product in market This lead to huge market of copying in Chinese economy Coming from automotive background, I would bring point where Chinese not only copy already available cars from market but Chinese court of law dismiss the case when automotive giants register the concern Chinese Knockoff: ,BYD S8 ,Original Design: ,Mercedes-Benz CLK The BYD S8 looks a lot like the Mercedes CLK.Handout The 2006 Mercedes-Benz CLKHandout, Mercedes-Benz Chinese brands. But there’s nothing original about the S8, first seen in 2007. It’s a blatant knockoff of a 2000 to 2009 Mercedes-Benz CLK convertible. Chinese Knockoff: ,Landwind X7 ,Original Design: ,Land Rover Range Rover Evoque The LandWind7 looks suspiciously like the Land Rover 2014 Range Rover Evoque DynamicDavid Booth, Driving Imported luxury SUVs are a hot commodity in China. But with import duties and whatnot, they tend to be a bit expensive for the average Chinese new car buyer. So SUV design rip-offs are plentiful. Witness the Landwind X7, a near-Xerox copy of the current Land Rover Range Rover Evoque luxury compact SUV. Ironically, Landwind became the first Chinese automaker to sell its cars in Europe, starting with the ,X6, SUV in 2005. But the company hasn’t had the chutzpah to sell its X7/Evoque knockoff on the Continent — yet. Chinese Knockoff: ,Brilliance V5 ,Original Design: ,BMW X1 The Brilliance V5 is a bad imitation BMW X1.Handout, Brilliance 2013 BMW X1 xDrive35i.Derek McNaughton, Postmedia News The Brilliance V5 is a great example of the convoluted business relationships that make up the Chinese auto industry. It’s obvious to anyone with eyeballs that the V5 is a design rip-off of BMW’s X1 compact SUV. But Germany’s BMW seems OK with that. Primarily because Brilliance China Automotive Holdings holds a 50% stake in ,BMW Brilliance,, a joint ,venture, that produces, distributes and sells BMWs (including the original X1) in China. Chinese Knockoff:, Dong Feng Motors EQ2050 HMV ,Original Design:, AM General Humvee Dong Feng Motors EQ2050 HMV or Hummer?Supplied, Wikimedia Commons Hummers were the first to see the effects of a tough market.File photo, CNS Although there may be more, there are at least three Chinese automakers making civilian knockoffs of the original AM General Humvee (High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle). Many of these Chinese rip-offs are crudely built from copied Humvee parts, from the chassis to the transmission to the diesel engine. The Dong Feng EQ2050 HMV (High Mobility Vehicle), based on an imported AM General ,Hummer H1, chassis, is just such a copycat. Chinese Knockoff:, Lifan 330 ,Original Design:, Mini Cooper The Lifan 330 looks very "inspired" by the Mini Cooper.Handout, Lifan The Mini 5 Door.Graeme Fletcher, Driving BMW’s Mini Cooper is already a pricey proposition here in North America, so a cheap, Chinese rip-off makes a lot of sense. That’s where China’s Lifan Motors steps in with its 330. First seen in 2008 as the 320, the Mini Cooper knockoff has been so popular it was facelifted in 2013 to keep up with the original Mini Cooper’s design evolution, and is now called the 330. Amazingly, Lifan sells its Cooper copycat in other countries outside of China with lax copyright infringement laws, such as Peru and Russia. Chinese Knockoff,: Rayttle E28 ,Original Design:, Renault Twizy Rattle E28 or a Renault Twizy?Handout, Rattle Formula One German triple world champion Sebastian Vettel poses with Renault ZE's director Benoit Treilhou and drives a Renault Twizy electric car at French carmaker Renault 'ZE' test center in Boulogne-Billancourt, near Paris.Patrick Kovarik, AFP / Getty The Renault Twizy is a truly revolutionary mode of transport. On sale in Europe since 2012, it’s an all-electric 1+1 urban vehicle meant to deal with congested city traffic in a practical and inexpensive (prices start at around $12,000) way. Unfortunately, the Twizy is not available to Chinese customers. But no worries, because China’s Zhejiang Litong New Energy Automobile Corporation has stepped in with its Rayttle E28, a near clone of the original French car. Chinese Knockoff,: BYD S7 ,Original Design:, Lexus RX BYD S7Handout, BYD 2006 Lexus RX 350Handout, Lexus Perhaps China’s BYD should change its name to BYDR, as in Build Your Dream Rip-offs. Like its BYD S8/Mercedes-Benz CLK design rip-off, BYD’s S7 is a full-on copycat of the Lexus RX crossover. At least BYD isn’t cloning a recent RX. The S7 is a near copy of the second-generation 2003 to 2008 Lexus crossover. Credit to BYD, you can get an S7 with seven seats, unlike the five-seat RX. And while the Lexus only came with a V6, the BYD rip-off is powered by a turbocharged four-cylinder. Chinese Knockoff:, Hawtai B35 ,Original Design:, Porsche Cayenne The Hawtai B35 was designed in the likeness of a Porsche Cayenne.Handout, Hawtai Porsche Cayenne V6 6MPHOTO: Derek McNaughton, Driving For Chinese buyers who can’t afford a real Porsche Cayenne, there’s the Hawtai B35. Hawtai is a Beijing-based automaker that partnered with Hyundai between 2002 and 2010 to manufacture the Korean automaker’s cars in China. One residual from that relationship is the Hawtai B35 SUV, a Porsche Cayenne design rip-off built off a first-generation 2000 to 2006 Hyundai Santa Fe platform. Chinese Knockoff:, CH Auto Lithia ,Original Design:, Audi R8 e-tron The Lithia is a blatant Audi R8 rip-off.Archive, SondAuto 2010 Audi R8 V10Handout, Audi Apparently, China’s CH Auto is sort of like a Bertone or Pininfarina, an independent company that designs, engineers and builds prototypes before they go into production. However, unlike those Italian design houses, CH Auto doesn’t bother with anything like, say, an original idea. Take for instance the Lithia, a direct rip-off of Audi’s R8 e-tron electric supercar. Seen at last year’s Beijing show, the Lithia allegedly can be driven up to 150 kilometres on lithium-battery power alone — “allegedly.” Chinese Knockoff:, Shuanghuan Auto Noble ,Original Design:, Smart ForTwo The Shuanghuan Auto Noble takes comes "inspiration" from the Smart fortwo.Handout, Shuanghuan Auto Smart fortwoHandout, Smart Source: AutomotiveGuide

How often do you think about buying a new car?

Nowadays, pretty often. I own a ,4,0 2013 Audi A8L, and a ,2014 C43 AMG Mercedes,. Mercedes only has 37,000 miles on its odometer because I bought for my wife to use and she is neither a car lover nor she needs it for daily use. At least it’s something that I can drive if I’m in the mood to feel 20 years old again. But my Audi, that’s a whole other story. I’ve driven a lot since I bought it: 68,000 miles on the odometer. It’s a very comfortable car for my big family and I really like the dynamics, size and whole feeling of driving it. Still, it’s evident that it’s getting old. Only my extensive care and knowledge of cars kept it from major problems. I know how those A8 longs can sometimes be problematic on the matter of engine that literally “devours” oil and multiple suspension issues. I realize that soon I won’t be able to just put off the problems that may arise. If anything happens to the engine or transmission - it will render the car undriveable, hence one either sells it 80% cheaper than the market price or invests 50% of this very price into repair job. I’m certainly getting something new in 2020. The list is: BMW X7, Range Rover Vogue, Mercedes GLS or Porsche Cayenne. Leaning mostly towards either Vogue or X7.

The new BMW X7 has a top speed of 227 kmph and the Ford F-150 raptor has 175+ kmph even after having a more powerful engine. What could be the reason?

It is all about transmission and the radius of the gear plates in it! If gear plate is having smaller radius then the vehicle will have furious acceleration but less top speed and if its radius is bigger then the vehicle might not have that much acceleration but a greater top speed. RPM(rotation per minute) also matter…for example:-Trucks have very powerful engines so they should also reach a top speed of 500kmph..haha…but it is not like that their gear disk are smaller and it helps them for a powerful pickup with loads but not a good speed!

Have you visited Arunachala “Ashram” in Kerala?

Yes, I have not only visited, but lived near this ashram for one year and a half. I don't recommend at all to anyone to visit "Arunachalashram"/ "Arunachala Hridayam". It was a great disappointment and waste of time in my spiritual search. Having witnessed the backstage of the ashram and its guru, I came to realize the corruption behind the facade of purity that they show off. I would have a lot to say, but it would be impossible to write everything here in this forum, so I will give you just a few remarks about it. Sunilkumar Kadaikal is the real name of the so called "Bhagavan", the guru of this ashram. He is not an enlightened sage as his students believe him to be. Sunikumar is a fake guru who is creating a spiritual business and running a very dangerous and nasty cult around his authoritarian leadership inside his community in the south of Kerala (Korome/Karimbil, Wayanad). Despite claiming to represent a tradition of sannyasins and presenting himself as a renunciate, free of any ego and desire, he drives shamelessly a BMW X7, which costs more than 100.000 euros. Moreover, there are very strong indications that he is diverting all the money of the ashram for his personal use and that the car was paid with this money (from his "monks"). For a long time, the ashram has been raising money for new buildings which never happened, and while the students have to squeeze themselves in a small room to attend his satsangs (and some even have to watch from the outside), he comfortably enjoys the spaciousness of his luxurious car. Many of his students recently left the sect having witnessed in "Bhagavan" several unacceptable incongruences and abusive behavior, acknowledging the cult characteristics in his leadership and in the group. Kumar is a self-proclaimed Buddha and he is not coherent with such position. He misuses his power in many ways, but no one can question or confront him, as one of his methods is to threat with expulsion those who dares to do so. He has many prejudices against Hinduism and Bhakti, and disregard all other Vedanta schools as distorted versions of the Original Vedanta, of which he claims to be the only loyal representant on Earth. Although not accepting formally any kind of devotion, Kumar is like an idol in the highest pedestal for his students, to whom he became the supreme authority. This has proved to be very dangerous, because it is too much power in the hands of someone who is not selfless, dharmic, nor compassionate. Although posing like a Shankara of this age, he doesn't have the qualifications of a master and he is not even transmitting the knowledge like a Vedanta teacher. Actually, Kumar is very distant from being a reference of the Original Vedanta, as he created a self-styled approach which was tailor-made to serve his own interests. One of the many deviatons from the Vedas in his approach is his monastic system. He is creating a community of brahmacharis (monks) which is very commercial, as they cannot have any access to his teachings unless they pay each time for his 15 days retreats. Besides that, in each retreat they have also to give a good amount of money as dakshina, a donation for the teachings. There is a dogma created by Kumar that if a student doesn't give enough dakshina he will not assimilate and retain the teachings. That's part of the bizarre belief system he has invented. If that were true, Buddha, Jesus, Shankara, Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Ramana Maharshi and other sages would have charged for their teachings, but that never happened, and it was never an impediment for their disciples to grasp their spiritual message. This theory is completely absurd and cannot be endorsed by any Vedic scripture. That was a very nasty strategy to extract more money from a transmission that, traditionally, was always given for free. This is probably the only case, not only in the Vedantic tradition, but in any spiritual tradition, wherein monks cannot receive teachings without paying, having to sustain a secular life in parallel in order to work and make money to afford the the costs of an unconventional "monastic lifestyle". Monks without monastery, who have to pay and donate dakshina, and still spend a lot of money travelling all over India to recruit more people to his group. As his students are mostly westeners who are completely unaware of the Vedic system, they easily conform with his distorted approach. To recruit new members, they are instructed by Kumar to infiltrate themselves in other ashrams and Satsangs from other teachers, trying to find there the new members for his cult. They often recruit in Tiruvanamalai, Advaita Satsangs throughout India (like Mooji's and Atmananda's), Bodhi Zendo and Buddhist retreats like the ones in Dharamsala. There are many manipulative games that Kumar plays in order to keep everyone under his control and to achieve his goals. He wants money, recognition as the only Buddha on Earth and full submission from his following. He has also very ambitious plans to grow fast and build ashrams in Europe and America. That would enable him to cheat even more people with the deceptive propaganda that he is a jnani like Ramana Maharshi, that can offer safe guidance towards liberation. Kumar is far from being a sage, and can never be compared to Sri Ramana Maharashi. The name “Arunachalashram” is used in order to attract Advaita seekers and devotees of Ramana Maharshi, trying to convince them that he is like the "new Ramana" of our times, but nothing can be more fraudulent then this idea. If you want to know what a true sage is, go to the real Ashram of Arunachala, which is the RAMANASHRAM in TIRUVANNAMALAI (Tamil Nadu), study the life and teachings of Ramana Maharshi and connect with him inside your heart. This would be definetely much more safe and productive for your spiritual life.

How many BMW X7s are sold in India in 2019?

BMW has not yet revealed the sales figures, but, it has been confirmed that within less than 3 months of the launch of X7 in India, it has been sold out. As far as the vehicle is concerned, it is being sold in a diesel as well as a petrol variant. The xDrive40i (Petrol) is powered by a 340 BHP 3.0 Litre straight-six, whereas the xDrive30d (Diesel) is powered by a 265 BHP 3.0 Litre straight-six. Both come with an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW’s xDrive four-wheel-drive system with surface-specific modes. The X7 is priced at approx 1.2 Crores (On-road Delhi). As far as sales are concerned, considering the price band and the demand, it can be said that BMW has sold approx 500 or 600 vehicles at least in the Indian market itself.
