In which aspects is the Hyundai Grand I10 NIOS better than the Maruti Suzuki Swift, and why?
As a owner, I felt it was a best choice buying brand new Hyundai i10 grand nios because it has more leg room at the rear passenger seat, good looking interior, it as more features than the other cars in this segment, engine is quiet refined and smooth. It has exciting features like wireless charging first in the segment, rear AC vents and many more. It is also the best city car and stable in highway. Why do people say Maruti Suzuki cars are of low quality? My friends Suzuki Swift 2007 model and Alto 2005 still run like a gem.
Perception of quality differs from person to person. A product can be described as a quality product if its expected performance matches with its perceived performance , it is one hack of a geeky definition :O Our perception is greatly influenced by the looks and the external beauty, for e.g. A Maruti Swift may be a fuel efficient and reliable car but its interiors are strictly utilitarian, it has very limited features in terms of gizmos (SatNav, Parking sensors, reverse camera, auto folding mirrors, rear AC etc.), where as a Hyundai i10 Grand offers those missing features in a less price. Now these differences make Hyundai i10 a quality product whereas people consider Swift as an average product. Same thing goes with VW or Skoda products where you see a lot of glitter when you check out these vehicles, but then later these glitters fade away when you see the darker side of these manufacturer. Their maintenance cost are usually high, spare parts cost would simply create a hole in your pocket, and their vehicles are not reliable either. I have heard many horror stories of DSG boxes of Skoda and VW cars. Even if we Indians criticize Maruti for providing so called cheap cars to us, but still our heart goes out for Maruti car and they are still the best seller in this country.

Not necessary. You can learn how to clean it yourself from an authorized service center or Youtube. Keep in mind, Always clean inside-out Not outside-in, as that pushes dust particles inwards to you, in the cabin. Clean it gently, once a month. Change it only when you see the filter is tearing.
Is it a bad idea to buy a new Hyundai i10 car (one of the latest variants) in India now and use it for the next 10 years since the car was launched some years ago, will the spare parts and service stop within next 10 years?
First of all, My Dad(I) own a Hyundai i10 and I would suggest you to go for i10, ,only if you are getting a hefty discount on the car as the production of i10 has been stopped from Hyundai., And I would suggest you to ,check the year of manufacturing, of the car as that would help in getting additional discounts on the car. Positives, I have driven the i10 about 15000 Km and I can assure you that you will enjoy each and every ride with that punchy, 1.1-liter IRDE engine,. And you will have no complaints with the performance nor the ride quality of i10. And a special mention to the AC unit on the i10. Coming to the negatives, not negatives actually, The milage of the i10 is less compared to the rivals. i10 delivers about, 14 Km to 15 Km in the city conditions and 17 Km to 18 Km on highway conditions, But it is acceptable as you get a far better engine and ride quality. And talking about the service of Hyundai, I didn’t have any complaint with the 2 services I had and also there was no issue with spare parts. And I have consulted the officials at Hyundai regarding the spare part availability in near future and they have assured me that there won’t be any issues with the spare parts of the i10. So, you can blindly trust the service quality and the customer service quality of Hyundai. Coming to the conclusion, the Hyundai i10 is still one of the best hatchbacks out there in the Indian market and you will have a feel-good factor about yourself whenever you maneuver this car on roads.
