What are some of the interesting facts about India?

Maney Bhanjyang ,is a small transit-town in the state of West Bengal in India.Known as the ‘,Land of Land Rovers,’, the rural location deep in the Himalayas is reliant on a fleet of meticulously maintained Series Land Rovers dating back as far as 1957. Moreover, Land Rover Taxi Association of Maney Bhanjyang is the ,largest operator of Land Rover Taxis in the entire South East Asia,. While there are some people who claim that, this is also the ,biggest Land Rover Taxi operator association,. Keeping aside the debate and controversy; one thing is for sure that, these fleet of ageing Land Rover Series I vehicles are the "lifeline of an entirely remote area", where there is no tar topped roads, but only some rocks laid to be called as the ‘Road’. The association is known as the Singalila Land Rover Association, and it operates a total number of ,45 Land Rover Series I, vehicles. Although these SUV’s are more than half a century old, but all of them still looks and performs as good as new. From the exterior, the iconic Land Rover Green badges are gone or completely faded away; instead there are aluminium plates with the iconic Land Rover symbols and the name itself. Surely those badges took the toll of travelling on the rough roads and cloud wrapped gushy wind. A small town with 45 Land Rovers … INCREDIBLE!!!

What is your review of TATA harrier SUV?

TATA harrier is a truly a great product and promising one from tata. Some interesting facts that will awe you are 1)Massive Land Rover connection The Harrier will be the brand’s first model to feature the new OMEGA (Optimal Modular Efficient Global Advanced) architecture. This platform is sourced from ,Land Rover,’s D8 architecture, which also underpins the Discovery Sport. The Harrier will also be the first model to feature Tata’s new IMPACT 2.0 DESIGN philosophy, which will be offered on future Tata cars including 45X concept based hatchback. 2) Spacious & Comfortable the new LAND ROVER PLATFORM will help in providing long wheelbase .the Harrier will measure close to 4.5 meters in length. The longer wheelbase and length ensures spacious cabin. The Harrier will also share suspension setup from the Discovery SUV, which ensures comfortable ride on all-sorts of roads. The SUV will offer segment-leading comfortable seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, charging ports for the rear occupants, etc. 3)Sound system from Harman The audio system is sourced from Harman, which promises excellent sound system. The range-topping model will also get a sub-woofer setup, which already has impressed on the Tata Hexa. 4)2.0-litre diesel engine Under the bonnet is a 2.0-litre KRYOTEC diesel engine, which is basically sourced from Jeep Compass. Though, Tata has de-tuned this engine for better efficiency. It is capable of producing 140bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. 5)Extensive Testing Tata has been testing the Harrier for a long time now. The vehicle has been caught testing in challenging terrains in all the corners of the country ranging from the dangerous roads of Himalayas to bad terrains of India . Tata officially reveals that collectively, the test mules of the Harrier have been tested for 22 lakh kilometres, which is roughly 10 years of ownership. Apart from the outdoor tests, the Harrier has been tested intensely in the Tata’s indoor facilities too.the video is officially uploaded by tata on youtube . WHAT DOES THESE RESULT?? A masterpiece product, . the harrier is a huge and imosssing car to look but to be honest not so difficult too drive sitting behind the wheel. unlike all modern cars it doesn't has electronic steering wheel but a hydrolic unit which gives imposing confidence on highway but not much of a problem in city conditions. Interiers a again a WOW factor in the car , no comments on this just see the photo and for a second you will for the tata badging the it.NOTHING TO SAY JUST see the picture. space and comfort are adequate the rear suspension is independently build by tata and not taken by landrover but still has good setup, sometimes rear seat gets a bit bumpy, else everything is spot-one. comparing the price it provides it closely locks horns with the jeep compass and it truly has it plus and minus but else it is a good package and always worth the money you will spend in this. IF YOU WANT FOR INFO JUST COMMENT DOWN BELOW AND I WILL DEFINATELY COME UP WITH MORE DETAILED REVIEW -Anirban banerjee (founder of Admires group)

How much of a difference is between driving on ice in a 4x4 vehicle and a 4x2 vehicle?

In theory a 4x4 can achieve greater traction, but only has the same braking as a 4x2. I maintained that as a simple, self evident observation - just like the other answers here ,UNTIL UNTIL, I owned an ,Audi Q7,. Due to it’s sophisticated traction control the Q7 effectively re-writes the rules. Driving up to some of the hilltop farms in my area in winter my 4x2 Mercedes and Jaguars with traction control are often completely unable to stop or go, skidding and spinning two or three times their length at slow walking speed, wheels spinning without moving the car even on the gentlest of starts. Often if you step out of the car in sturdy boots you are unable to stand upright on the ice and are blown over by the wind. With the Audi Q7 you are often totally unaware that there is any problem. The first that I knew of ice was stepping out of the car and slipping head over heels. Not through clumsiness - I’ve walked on ice in high winds in the Alps, Andes and Himalayas - but these surfaces that I was driving on are just ridiculously more slippery. Now Audi are not johnny come latelys to 4x4 - they started with the phenomenal Audi Quattro nearly thirty years ago and built on that. There is more to their magic than just 4x4 - but 4x4 is a big part of that. PS: I notice the other vehicles that seem to get around these places without a fuss are Land Rovers and Range Rovers - but not normal SUVs or Wagons.

What is the best trek for a first timer in India? What would be your advice?

In my opinion it is the Sandakphu-Phalut-Singalila ridge trek. Pros: The highest point is Sandakphu (3636 mts/ 11942 fts). So there is very little chance of Acute Mountain Sickness. There is good road connectivity and a few land rovers daily ply between the basepoint Maneybhanjan to Sandakphu. So if something happens to you, you may expect for a quick decend to the lower altitudes. There is no need to stay in tents as all the points where you need to stay in between namely Maneybhanjan, Tonglu, Tumling, Gairibas, Jhaubari, Kalipokhri, Sandakphu, Phalut, Timburey/ Gurdoum, Shepi, Gorkhey, Srikhola, Samanden, Rimbick (depends on the route you follow and time within which you want to cover) etc has Lodges or Hotels there. The end to end trek costs around ₹ 4k/ head for a group of 5 for fooding-lodging-guide fee from Siliguri to Siliguri. The additional equipments like trekking shoes, walking poles, winter wears, backpacks etc may cost another ₹ 15k. You need not buy heavy equipments as it is not that kind of trek offering much harsher environments. So budget is also on the lower end. There are lots of places to stay in between. So if you are compelled to change plan due to some unavoidable circumstances, you will soon get a shelter to spend that night. Last but not the least, though the difficulty level is easy to moderate, it will offer you such a unique panorama, no other trek in the world can offer. From the highest point of West Bengal, the top 4 highest peaks of the Himalayas are visible. You will be able to see the rare Red pandas if you are lucky enough, as the whole range falls in Singalila National Park. It will be such a memory that you can never forget. Wish you a happy journey. Jai Hind.

What are some Indian brands/products/services that are famous outside of India?

India has made its mark on the world by offering world class products and services. The quality and efficiency of the products made in India have garnered a welcoming response from all over the world including some of the most developed countries such as Australia, USA, Europe, and other parts of Asia. The range of Indian products have a unique array of collectives where everything from something as small as spices to something as large as automobiles are traded from India to different parts of the world. Among these, food products, herbal medicines, and spices seem to be a hot favorite. Some of the most well-known brands in foreign countries are listed below: TATA Motors Titan Company Haldiram’s Amul Café Coffee Day Paper Boat Land Rover FabIndia Daawat Basmati Rice Bajaj Autos Taj Hotels MTR foods Craftsvilla Old Monk Saravana Bhawan Apart from these, Indian Ayurvedic Brands have also made a revolutionary mark on foreign countries and these names include two giants - Patanjali and Himalaya. Will the Curiosity rover and Perseverance rover ever meet once Perseverance lands on Mars?

Imagine all of the vast lands on our great planet Earth, including all of Africa, North and South America, Europe, Asia, Greenland, Australia and Antarctica. This is about the same size as all the land on Mars. How is that possible since Mars is so much smaller than Earth? Well, that’s because approximately 70% of Earth is covered by water. The land that sticks above the water is only slightly larger than all the land mass on Mars. Earth has about 57,308,738 square miles of land, and Mars has 55,907,000 square miles of land (very close to the same). So now imagine a Volkswagen parked on a side road somewhere deep in the jungle in Congo, Africa, and another Volkswagen on the streets of Los Angeles and another parked outside the King’s palace in Kathmandu, Nepal, up in the Himalayas. These vehicles, though on the same Earth, are a long, long way from each other and will obviously never meet. So be it with the Mars rovers. They are not anywhere near each other, although on the same planet, because although we talk about how much smaller Mars is than Earth, in terms of land mass it’s almost the same size as Earth. They are a long, long way from each other and when Perseverance arrives it will be in a completely different area. They will not meet up.
