What are the different types of weed?
There are over a thousand named-varieties of weed on the market, that all stem from the same three (or four) species of the cannabis genus: Cannabis sativa (c. sativa) ,large growing plants from warm climates, higher in THC and THCV Cannabis indica (c. indica) ,bushy growing plants from temperate climates, higher in resin and CBD Cannabis ruderalis (c. ruderalis) ,non-photoperiodic [autoflowering] hemp, crossed with c. indica and c. sativa to make ‘autoflowering strains’ Cannabis afghanica (c. afghanica) ,a hybrid of c. sativa and c. indica that is sometimes considered a species, although is less commonly listed as such nowadays Strains like “Blue Dream”, “OG Kush”, and “Sour Diesel” are all hybrids (crossbreeds) made from breeding together these species. Sour Diesel (,Source,) Of all the named types of weed, the most predominant genes in 2018 hybrids are bred with genetics from the Hindu Kush mountain range [Kush] and with Haze, a stable hybrid bred from Colombian, Mexican, Thai and South Indian genetics. The amazing part about growing cannabis is that the plant’s genes change over time, meaning that anyone can develp their own strain (or “type”) of weed. What strains of cannabis grow the best in Northern Europe?
I would recommend indica. The real difference between indica and sativa is more about how they grow and length of flower cycle, and not their chemical profile or the supposed high each produces. An indica is shorter in stature, with broad leaves. It has a much shorter flowering cycle, and is suited for colder climates with a shorter season. There are many great indica strains suited for Europe. I would recommend Candy Kush Express. OG Kush and Royal Cookies would also work too. Really almost any indica will work well. If you have a local shop, ask other local growers which strains they prefer, and what were the pros and cons of each. Autoflowering indica strains are also worth looking into; they have shorter seasons and easier care. Warning: when growing indica, especially in a wet or humid northern clime, one will have to pay close attention to problems like fungus, mold, and bud rot, especially during the flower phase. It will be important to get a great organic fungicide and have it ready on hand, set up in sprayers or atomizers. Do not wait for a problem to arise; you can lose an entire plant within 12 to 24 hours. Also, have an isolation and quarantine area prepped and ready, just in case. This is true of outdoor or indoor, but especially outdoor, where control over humidity is problematic.
What is the best strain of marijuana to grow indoors?
I want to grow the best recreational cannabis and autoflowering varieties that are medical grade, easy to grow, and excellent at producing THC and CBD. I have a 3 meter square room, a 2 meter high grow tent, Optic 8+ NextGen Dimmable LED Grow Light 560w lights, and other necessary items. Currently my varieties of choice are regular OG kush and green gelato, autoflowering Gorilla Glue auto and CBD Charlotte's Angel.
