Can I install an H11 type LED headlight instead of an H4 type LED headlight in a Hero Glamour bike?
No You can’t. The H11 is a single emitter type design and cannot replace a dual emittier ( Hi/Lo ) H4 bulb type. You’d need a double headlight with seperate lo and hi beams. The H11 uses a P14.5s type electrical connector and the H4 uses a P43t type connector. Your wiring harness won’t connect up and you’ll need to modify it. I’d suggest that you get a H4 type LED bulb for a direct hassle free replacement.

Should I switch from halogen headlights to LED headlights?
This has been a topic of a lot of debates. In most cases, a car lamp housing designed for a halogen bulb is NOT designed to handle an LED bulb. From your end, you might get a significant power saving (due to the latter lower wattage of a typical LED) but from the point of view of oncoming traffic, you may come as a complete nuisance because you will simply be blinding them with the light from your LED. Halogen light is focused by the reflectors inside your lamp housing. It is generally a single lamp / filament that glows. LED is usually a multiple array of emitters that shine when powered up. When lit, there is simply no easy way to collimate or align all those beams properly without the proper reflectors associated with a proper housing to begin with. It’s illegal in some places. It’s not in some areas. That being said, if you still want to replace your halogens to LED there are some additional points to consider. Most, if not all will require you to simple get the LED equivalent for your car and simply plug in the LED replacement. For example, you can easily find 9006, 9007, H11, etc. Generally plug and play The better and generally better LED lamps have some sort of protrusion extending from what used to be the normal back end of your halogen bulb. This is usually a cooling heatsink, or mini fan assembly or both and a corresponding pigtail wiring that plugs into your exisiting wiring harness. In most of these cases, you may have to modify or be creative with these bulbs because they will not fit inside the headlamp housing and may come in contact with other parts of the car during operation. Because of the inheret inability to focus light properly, your outward vision may actually be worst. From outside the vehicle, the LED might look really nice and modern but from your point of view as the driver, your actual outward vision may be impaired. You may have blank or hollow spots with your light coverage. Your car may have some light monitoring circuitry that may trigger a lamp warning (burnt or faulty bulb) if you simply switch to LED. This is usually solved by a load resistor that fools your circuitry into thinking that a high wattage halogen is still in use. Take note however that this is not a foolproof solution. I have seen vehicles where the LED would simply not turn on or the DRL may malfunction or some other quirkiness only to be solved by returning to halogen bulbs or regular incandescent bulbs for pilot lights. If you want real LED lighting, check if your car has that option from the factory. If it does, buy the OEM LED housing and use that. At the very least, you can also get OEM non-LED housing retrofitted with projectors or proper LED housings. There are specialized shops that do that online. The legality may still be questionable depending on where you are but at least you won’t be blinding incoming traffic unnecessarily as well as hampering your own visibility.
