A lot of the Japanese market car names are good but this is my favourite - the Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg, perhaps the best name for a car ever. https://t.co/90VA34a4jA

Well this may not be very interesting but it is a nice insight into how my brain works (if anyone is interested in that) Right so first of all there is my budget. I gave myself a reasonable budget (for a 21 year old) of £5000 Now with that budget I can immediately forget about any car made after 2010. Then I think about what cars look nice that I can also afford.. That cancels out any cars made after 1999. And then my mother won’t let me buy a car without an airbag so that cancels anything before 1992. So now my target is a car made between 1992 and 1999 and I decided that since the car would be over 18 years old it would certainly be best to go Japanese! Also I want some “get up and go”. Now for the real decision making… Drivetrain - ,since I don’t want to die when driving in the snow RWD isn’t really any option. So AWD and FWD only. ,Goodbye Nissan Silvia, Honda S2000, Toyota MR2 Engine Size - ,due to insurance reasons currently I can’t buy anything with an engine over 2L. ,Goodbye Nissan 300zx, Mitsubishi GTO, Nissan Skyline, Subaru SVX Engine Format - ,due to more insurance reasons I can’t buy anything over a 4-cylinder. ,Goodbye Mitsubishi Galant, Mitsubishi FTO Efficiency ,- I want a daily driver so I want something that go above 30mpg at least. ,Goodbye Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer, Toyota Celica GT4 Futher Insurance Woes, - I am uninsurable on a handful of cars due to them being in a large amount of accidents (hooner’s weapons of choice). ,Goodbye Toyota Glanza, Nissan Pulsar GTIR, Toyota Corolla GTI, Honda Civic Practicality - ,I will probably need at least 2 back seats just in case I need to taxi round any friends. ,Goodbye Honda CRX, Mazda MX5 So now we have our list of finalists, drum roll please… Honda Integra Honda Civic Coupe Honda Accord Type-R Honda Prelude Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg Toyota Celica GT Toyota Levin BZ-R Suzuki Swift GTi Suzuki Swift: They are pretty quick but they look a bit lame. Also they only have a 1.3L engine. Quick for a 1.3 but hey if they used a 1.6 we’d definitely have something nice. Toyota Levin BZ-R: Gorgeous car and also carry the legendary 4-AGE engine of its AE86 predecessor. Couple that with the superstrut suspension out of a Celica GT4 and we have a very desirable car. Sadly they are pretty rare to find. Toyota Celica GT: A nice (if not slightly quirky) looking car with a strong 1.8l engine. Also very good handling and rallying heritage. However I think they are lacking that certain X-factor. Mitsubishi Mirage Cyborg: Firstly it’s got Cyborg in the name! Pretty darn quick and great handling too. Sadly they are like hen’s teeth and I’ve never actually seen one! Honda Prelude: Quick 2L VTEC engine but they look a bit odd from the front. Also handling isn’t particularly special. Honda Accord Type-R: Very quick and capable 5-door car. Even in the Type-R guise they still look too much like the bog-standard car which is owned by everyone’s grandpa. The Honda Torneo deals with the problem of the looks but they are pretty rare and are too expensive for what is just an Accord with a different bodykit. Honda Civic Coupe: Unlike the hatchback version, the Civic coupe is less common and hasn’t been crashed as much as a result! However the same people buy these as those who buy the hatchbacks so they have all been fucked around with Honda Integra: So here we have our winner, the car I chose. It looks amazing, the curves are perfect and looks very sporty. A quick (yet relatively economical) 1.8L engine with the added bonus of VTEC for when you really want to get a shift on! Also has the benefits of being perfectly balanced with amazing suspension giving it superb handling. The Integra is actually considered one of the best handling FWD cars of all time! (,Mines black so even cooler than the pic!)
