It wasn’t until nearly a decade later the steering wheel came about.

My steering wheel is squeaking. Everytime I turn my wheel it sounds like a dadgum mouse is in the car. Just a slight eek noise...enough to drive me crazy🦉

Diagnosing noises by remote is well nigh on impossible. However, it does suggest that you have installed or replaced something incorrectly if there was no noise prior to you doing the work. I suggest you carefully go over everything you did and compare it to to he workshop manual, and ensure that everything is in place where it should be. Did you follow the bleeding procedure described in the workshop manual for the power steering after you replaced the hose, as if you have air in the system it might explain the noise. If you dont have a workshop manual, then you really should not be doing this sort of work, as you can see what it leads to.
First thing check the fluid level of your power steering and look for any signs of leakage in the steering rack before you do anything else.
Driving Safari storme since 2014 Along with Safari I own a Korean Sedan and a Italian hatchback so I can give you a clear idea of how this car feels . First of all if you wish to own this vehicle then you should lower your expectations when it comes to features and gizmos. So if you are a tech savy you should stay away from this vehicle. But if you are someone who enjoys driving this vehicle is a boon. True body on frame vehicle Hydraulic steering , no electric steering . This connects you to road better than electric steering and no vague steering feelings. 154 bhp and 400nm torque is enough to push this vehicle around. Ample of space and leather quality is very good. Its a rugged vehicle , I have taken this car to almost every type of terrain and this car performed well This vehicle has quite a road presence . Little attention never hurts . Some pictures of my safari storme: But no product is perfect so is this vehicle. Panel gaps can be seen all over the vehicle Hard plastics on the console Squeaking noise in the interior is the trademark of safari Fit and finish could have been better. I planned to replace this vehicle but after driving this vehicle for 4 years , other cars in this segment did not impress me much . They might have more gizmos and features but the driving experience is where the safari scores.
Most likely this has to do with a worn belt, probably the one associated with power steering. It is a Very Good Idea to get that checked out and replaced ASAP. A broken belt strands you and can cause much more damage when it breaks.
Thanks for A2A MD Azar has already pointed out the problem with injector and even i have faced this twice in 8 years of ownership. The other area of improvements I can see are Super light steering ,which is good for maneuvering in city but on high speed, it does compromise on handling. Inefficient braking,-good at low speeds but not good for 100+ speeed. Despite bolero is built to rule on ruler roads but be prepared for ,small niggles and rattling and squeaking noises,. However it doesn't mean that Bolero is not a good vehicle. If you can live with small problems, Bolero is very efficient battle tank and if driven and maintained with care, engine can survive upto 3 lac KMs. ,Mine read 2.44 lacs KM on odometer. If you are the guy who always wants to keep hands clean, have moderate running and mostly on good roads and your daily commute doesn’t carrying big luggage, I suggest go for other vehicle.
What kind of squeak? Constant varying with speed? A 2 tone squeak? Front wheel drive or rear? Coming from front or rear of car? Does it change with steering input?
That may be a loose power steering belt or glazed belt., if that doesn’t yield a result after tightening or replacing, move on to suspension check.
Hub Bearings - I would look at these first Power Steering fluid leakage or failure Transmission(Not likely, but possible if you have a transaxle) Brakes(Usually a problem with disc brakes) Front Suspension CV joint Wheel misalignment Bent front axels
I would Never give anyone any sort of advice on Brakes or steering except to take the vehicle to someone who knows what they are doing and the sooner the better. Yes I know that way back in another era in my life I used to do all my own maintenance including brakes but now the stakes are so much higher and if there is a problem which results in an Accident then the Lawyers will make noises that sound like “Brakes were tampered with by a person or persons who hold NO qualification or expertise in this field”. Now that sort of starts to sound expensive to me.
