Fuel injectors for a Cadillac. Anyone know where I can get my hands in them. https://t.co/yeA3IHTYqW
A fuel injector works like the spray nozzle of a hose. It sends a fine mist of fuel (mixed with air) into your engine’s combustion chamber, where it’s ignited by a spark plug. See what happens when fuel injectors get clogged and how STP can help. https://t.co/q44SxcDTTU

Adblue and fuel injectors really don't mix. We see an increasing number of injectors sent to us where Adblue has found its way into the fuel system and crystallised, normally through misfuelling. But what exactly is Adblue? WhatCar explains... https://t.co/XWNspKSUyQ https://t.co/uBGdlvMDiI

I can't make this up; BMW financial called me today saying that I ordered a 2020 430i and where to deliver it. LOL I told them to never call me again after decades of failed: fuel pumps, fuel injectors, turbos, waste gates, fouled spark plugs, failing transmissions, agony!
Your fuel system also needs a 'tune up', this will clean your fuel injectors chemically and keep you fuel efficiency where you want it!

The three common configurations are “Plenum Injection”, “Port Injection”, and “Direct Injection”. Plenum Injection uses a single assembly, (which may have multiple injectors, like a standard carburetor’s multiple barrels) placed on top of a conventional intake manifold. In many cases this is a direct replacement for a carburetor. It meters a fuel air mixture into the intake manifold plenum just like a carburetor. Port Injection has individual injectors on the intake manifold runners adjacent to the intake valves. In place of the carburetor there is an air valve, which works in coordination with the injector timing to give the correct fuel/air mixture. Direct Injection puts the fuel directly into the combustion chamber after the intake valve, through a port in the cylinder head itself. It also has the air valve function mentioned above. It’s the most efficient of the systems, but also the most expensive to make and maintain, due to it’s exposure to chamber pressure, heat, and combustion products
For the engine to run smoothly and efficiently it needs to be provided with the right quantity of fuel/air mixture according to its wide range of demands. The injectors through which the fuel is sprayed are screwed, nozzle-first, into either the inlet manifold or the cylinder head and are angled so that the spray of fuel is fired towards the inlet valve. The injectors are one of two types, depending on the injection system. The first system uses ,continuous injection, where the fuel is squirted into the inlet port all the time the engine is running. The injector simply acts as a spray nozzle to break up the fuel into a fine spray - it doesn't actually control the fuel flow. The amount of fuel sprayed is increased or decreased by a mechanical or electrical control unit - in other words, it is just like turning a tap on and off. The other popular system is ,timed injection (pulsed injection), where the fuel is delivered in bursts to coincide with the induction stroke of the cylinder. As with continuous injection, timed injection can also be controlled either mechanically or electronically. The earliest systems were mechanically controlled. They are often called petrol injection (PI for short) and the fuel flow is controlled by a mechanical regulator assembly. These systems suffer from the drawbacks of being mechanically complex and having poor response to backing off the throttle. Mechanical systems have now been largely superseded by ,electronic fuel injection, (known as EFi for short). This is thanks to the increasing reliability and decreasing costs of electronic control systems. Two main types of injector can be fitted, depending on whether the injection system is mechanically or electronically controlled. mechanical fuel injector electronic injector
Depends on the type of fuel injection built into the car. Some have a fuel injector for each cylinder directly into the cylinder or very nearby . Others have a throttle body type injector that injects into the throttle body before the mixture is fed to the cylinders. Your owners manual will show you or most mechanics will be able to point it out to you on your car.
Generic answer: They have to be poking into the intake manifold, near each intake valve. So take off any plastic engine covers, find the intake manifold, and somewhere into the intake manifold there will be 4, 6, 8, or 10 little thingies with both a fuel pipe or rail, and an electrical connection. Them are the injectors. If the engine is running rough you can then try various diagnostic techniques, like if you unplug an injector while the engine is running, it should then run rougher. If it stays the same, that injector isn’t working.
The additives you speak of are required to qualify with the government as “Top Tier Fuel”. You could look at this as the USDA stamp on your meat. The fact is that there are compounds in the fuel to “aid or assist” in the cleaning of the injectors and the intake valves. from experience do they help? Yes. But that is not the end of the story. certain engine and injection designs are more prone to “build up”. these include direct injected engines and GDI engines. Why they suffer more build up is the topic of much debate. The simple fact is they do suffer from build up. There are products that ”can” help. But will not stop the buildup. This is why it is recommended to use the best fuels possible particularly in these engines. Some “top” line refiners (Gasoline Distributors) Claim they exceed the minimum standards for these compounds. and there is some proof that if you run these fuels exclusively it will take a longer time before you will have to pay someone to go in and physically remove these deposits. Personally I have seen very few over the counter products that even hint at “preventing” this problem. I’m certain some manufactures Rep will chime in about how their product is different. This is an area where you can pay me now or pay me later applies. If you use cheap fuel you will pay the Technician sooner. If you use the highest quality fuels it will be later. But during the expected life of your vehicle you will end up paying the technician to manually clean up the mess.
