I’ve heard good things about the Kawasaki Versys 650. I’ve ridden one on a test ride on pavement. It was great but a bit too tall for me. One potential drawback to that bike that I’ve read is that it has alloy wheels instead of spokes like most other adventure bikes. If you’re on a seriously rugged trail and bend a wheel, with spokes I guess you can loosen/tighten them to bend your wheel back straight. Crack an alloy wheel and you’re stranded. I’m 5′10′ and wear 30″ inseam pants. The bike has a 33″ seat height which was much taller than what I was looking for, but might suit your needs if you’re already used to ADV bikes. I sat on a brand new Suzuki Vstrom 650 at a bike show, which felt a bit lower but was out of my price range. Technically it’s only a 1″ difference in height. Honda’s offering, the Africa Twin, is significantly more expensive than the others and around a liter rather than 600cc. The 700cc Yamaha Tenere also exceeds your engine size criteria although not by much. I did a lot of research on the Versys and Vstrom 650’s over the past year or two. Their engines, while fundamentally different in design, apparently offer nearly identical performance. Provided the alloy wheels don’t bother you the Versys is the most economic option of the four. If I were a little taller I would have bought the one I test rode then and there.
They had to do something. The Civic, while it sold a boatload of units over the years, had seen its popularity and distinctiveness fade in its segment. If you look at sales data over the years, it kind of topped out, and started to fade badly in 2013–2014. Basically, people got bored with the Civic. Even the Accord has had a hard time maintaining its volume in the marketplace, with its conservative approach to their traditional customer base, causing the Accord to fare much worse. Fact is, that while the Civic is one of the best sellers in the compact car class, there is a ton of competition in the space, and most are perfectly fine cars. The WRX is a super niche car, and I don’t think Honda much cares about it as a prime competitor. Honda sells more Civics in a day, than WRXs get sold in a month (roughly, its a slight exaggeration, but not by much). There was a time when people actually liked Hondas because they were nicer than most other cars in their respective classes. Now, they are shopped just like any other brand outside of the loyal Honda customer base. They are just another car brand, nothing particularly special. One of the reasons is that Honda, like Toyota, became insanely conservative, as they didn’t want to rock the boat. While Honda was sleeping, Nissan, Ford, Hyundai and Chevy started to chip away, with more modern designs, better pricing in some cases, and perfectly reliable cars (which is where Honda used to shine). The Civic used to be the cheap and simple go to car for the compact car class, and the occasional special (CRX or El Sol anyone), plus the S/R trims used to cater to the GTI set. But there’s so much choice, that Honda has finally woken up a bit. Acura, has suffered a worse fate than their Honda counterparts, as the company fell completely asleep with their Acura brand cars over the years, and basically just gave up. As a former owner of an Acura RL, I failed to find anything special with either Acura or Honda, and have zero desire to own any of their cars again…. although that might not stop me from impulse buying a new NSX
The simple answer would be NO. The accord euro is the same as the accord usa just the difference in spec, interior, body shape and engine configurations. It wasn't until 2000 the accord euro came with an obd port. Back to your question. The acura tsx is the tsx and the Honda accord is the accord. The acura tsx comes with better interiors, ride quality, better engine performance and overall comfort but under its still a Honda. Just like the Lexus being an upgrade from the Toyota, the ES is a Camry with better ride quality. I hope my answer makes sense. Nnajiego chinedu
The term "optimal" means something different to everyone. However, the tyre pressure recommended by Honda in your owners manual has been determined by Honda to be optimal. This means that it should provide the best combination of tyre durability, ride comfort, fuel economy, road noise, cornering, and stopping distance. If you want to enhance one of those specific characteristics, you can do so by adjusting your tyre pressure outside of the recommended range, however you will do so at the expense of some of the other characteristics. For instance, you could consider a 20% increase in pressure to improve fuel economy, but you will experience a noticeable increase in ride harshness and noise and potentially reduced handling. A 20% decrease may slightly improve your grip, but you'll notice more body roll and reduced tyre life. In general, unless you have a specific concern with one of the vehicle characteristics, just stick with the manufacturer's recommended pressure.
Revenue Generation. There are some parts that are designed to last the life of the car. THen there are other parts that are disposable e.g.(oil filter). So, Did you show up all dressed in power suit and Gold neclace or Pearls? Well, its the same with dealerships. If have not found a local garage that is able to service your car, and it is now ten years old, that means you are happy with the gold plated service that you receive from that particular dealership. Since the vehicle is now 10 years old, and the last service did not include any of the things that honda thinks will fall apart after 10 years, its a bit of a Preventative Maintenance item to have some of the major parts replaced that will eventually fail, based on their age. An example are virtron (a type of rubber) seals and couplings. Wheel bearings, Steering gears, alternator slip rings, and other items are all items that eventully wear out. It is not a matter of ,IF, but ,when, those particular paarts will wear out. So, your dealer is actually preventing a lot of stress on you, and is making sure that you are a happy driver.
Apparently, no. However, no one can tell you if there is something wrong without having an actual look at the car. So only you can decide it. 250K kms seem a bit too much. Be sure to check the condition of the engine/maintenance etc.
My Euro 2012 Honda Accord CW2 (K24Z3) consumes 1.5 liters of motor oil (5w30) between changes (10000km). Is it "normal"? I would suspect that you are adding top up oil when you don’t need to! This can often lead to the false impression that the engine is using oil. If your engine does really consume 1.5 litres in 10 000 km, then you should only need to add about 500 ml to maintain the level above “Minimum”. NEVER allow you oil level to be above “Full” after the car has sat all night before checking it! It is perfectly safe to run the engine with the dip stick showing very SLIGHTLY below minimum.
Come on, young person! You obviously have access to the internet and the time to ask rather naive questions about a car choice. How did you decide on the Accord versus Civic in the first place? Figure out the details USING YOUR OWN SKILLS AND LEARNING. It’s a wonderful part of growing up. Assess the pros and cons of both popular Honda choices and decide. It’s really not so difficult that you need to involve random strangers here. Quora is not your parent, your priest, your banker, or the oracle of Delphi. You should be more than capable of looking up both the Euro Accord and the Civic in whatever years you can afford to see how they rate. Read reviews. Check out the owners manual for each. Go to owners forums and ask the people who own them if needed. If you prefer the smaller car, no one will say that you shouldn’t get it. Buy whatever you can afford to maintain properly. Go and listen to the stock systems in these used vehicles. There are several levels of factory systems available depending on trim level. Listen and decide whether the sound quality is good enough. More likely, there are many built-in features that have come along in the THIRTEEN YEARS PLUS since the 2008 model year. Of course you can add a BT adapter or replace a whole stereo. You can make a competition grade system that will be worth more than the car if you wish. YouTube has TONS of instructional videos on all sorts of products and audio systems. Where have you been to not know this? You are young enough to be quite internet literate. You should know enough to do basic and more detailed searches on every topic mentioned in your question. Please use Quora bandwidth wisely.
