@Teslarati Speaking of Japan, I was born and raised in Japan and currently live in DC. My father worked all his life for Honda as a mechanical engineer and he helped open more than 4 international factories. Now here I am, just ordered my Model 3. Sorry dad 😅 https://t.co/1325v536HE
Here's one where you can buy a 1:32 scale model of a Honda Tact, a now discontinued 50cc scooter from Honda. Was it a popular bike in Japan with a cult following? No. https://t.co/GbmKNSKe95
Yes. The same question can be asked of American built VW’s. BMW’s, Mercedes, Toyota etc. I believe it is because Americans look at the ,price ,of everything, whereas buyers in other countries examine the ,value ,of something. I would rather pay $60k for a very high quality vehicle that is nice to drive, nice to look at and with pleasing tactile materials inside. Americans seems to look at a $60k vehicle and say ‘it doesn’t do anything that the $40k vehicle can’t do.’ Hence cars for the American market are built to lower standards in order to lower the cost of production and sales prices.
It would not make a difference to be honest as they are built with the same parts and components. Only difference is one is imported from another country and one is built in the United States. Also one is built by American workers while the other is made by workers in that country. I have driven many cars same models built in different country and the quality and drive is the same as any car no matter where it was built.

Hey, sorry for the delayed response. I don’t think so. I think Honda is bound by law to make parts for particular models for a certain amount of time. After that, they sell off the tool and dies to aftermarket companies that can specialize in those parts, or scrap the dies. Unless for some reason they make a bunch of money making old car parts, I don’t see any profitability in it. And it would take up space in a factory that could be used to produce newer vehicle parts. Honda would probably be the first to get rid of all the old tools and dies, next would be the aftermarket companies. Unfortunately thats part of the life cycle of vehicles.
Some are, some are not. Because Honda offers a verity of products. you will need to be more specific. For example, Honda HA-420 HondaJet is developed and manufactured in Greensboro, North Carolina, United States. Honda N-One, only available in Japan and is only manufactured in Japan. Here is the list of assembly facilities of Honda, all over the world and products assembled at those locations. List of Honda assembly plants

Honda designed many of it's cars with similar engines. This is part of the reason that Honda vehicles are desirable for engine upgrades. Honda Civic, Honda Del sol, Acura Integra, Acura EL, and others use D & B Series Motors for the generations which I believe you are speaking of. Acura/Honda Japan made a model of Integra called the GSR Moreso the GSR Came with a higher performance B18 Motor than that of the Civic. This is also known as the B18C1 Motor. 180HP /128 lbs/ft TQ. 1.8L with a VTEC or Variable Valve Timing system. Great for performance. It is likely someone has put this motor into the vehicle in question. The motors from Honda have similar footprints making some of them interchangeable in different applications of vehicles.
I have a peculiar pet peeve against manufacturers who are too cheap not to provide twin sun shades. So comparing trim levels, I had to end up going to a higher package as Nissan does not offer it on lower end. Got a Bose speaker as a bonus. Why Nissan? They were the only game in town that time for unibody and smooth ride SUV but big enough to hold 6 large suitcases for airport run, if you select actual “made in Japan” models. Prior bad experience with quality of US made cars (including a transplant - Honda), made us try that country of origin as another specs. The later cars we bought are selected by my wife. So they do not count (to mention here) as my own choice of the model or trim. She chooses import models but have to have firm steering.
