If you have a 700+ credit score, and $20K down-payment, a debt-to-income ratio of less than 45%, then you'd qualify for a loan for the balance - $75K. So with a $100k loan, a traditional 60 Mo payment would be $1800-$2000 depending on the interest rates. You could also do a 144 mo. loan which would be around $1028 / mo. Now, if you take your income and subtract taxes at 40%, you'll have around $6k / mo. Buy a decent home or apartment with a $1200 / mo. payment and you'll have $2000 / mo. for living expenses, insurance, etc. But you'll want to sock away at least $500 / mo. for maintenance and repairs. For example, a set of installed tires will be $2500 minimum. An oil change will be $400+$600. You'll also need to be prepared for the risk of something really expensive going wrong. My first Lamborghini had a catastrophic transmission failure that would have cost $20-30K to repair if the car had not been under warranty. That type of thing is rare, and in my case, it was related to the fact that I bought a car that had been wrecked. It's the last V12 manual that Lamborghini made and it's producing North of 570hp. Judging based on Canadian prices converted into US dollars I'm guessing you should be able to get one for about 120 to 130k USD. This car is starting to appreciate in value. Both of these cars will most likely go up in value. If I was buying one I would get the Ferrari because it's cheaper and I like Ferraris more.
