Review Q&A suzuki swift armrest

Which is the best SUV for India?

Category 1: 1) Maruti Suzuki Alto 800/K10 Pros- Good Service, Low cost Maintenance, Parts Easily Available, Best Aftersell Value Cons- No improvement in looks Maruti Alto 800 : Official Review - Team-BHP Maruti Alto K10 : Official Review - Team-BHP 2), ,Renault Kwid 800/1000cc Pros- Good Service, New Look and awesome graphics and more features compairing to Alto, Low Cost Maintanence but > Maruti Suzuki Alto Cons- Not very good resell value like Alto, Sound is more and after getting older creates some problems (as my experience). Sold only because of looks and features. Renault Kwid : Official Review - Team-BHP 3) Datson Redi Go,- Price is lower than Alto, Low price but not a good competitor, Nothing to Compare with other rivals, Cost Cutting by dropping build quality, Skinny tires (155mm), Can't get good resell value. Datsun Redi-GO 1.0L : Official Review - Team-BHP 4) Tata Nano-, Don't know why tata have made. Not a successful car. Creates problem when it gets old. Low resell value. Tata Nano AMT (Automatic) : Official Review - Team-BHP 5) Hyundai Eon-, Good looking car with best in class interior quality, Good after sale service too. But vibration issue, Price is too closer to 4 cylinders hatchback including Santro. Hyundai Eon : Review Category 1 (Higher End) : 1)Hyundai Santro,- Good Car with Good Reputation, Recently launched, Check the reviews on youtube and other websites. 2018 Hyundai Santro review, test drive 2)Tata Tiago,- Very good car. Little expensive than the above car. Everything is good but Tata resell value is gamble. No sign of cost cutting. Car is very good but only 3 cylinder in petrol. Tata Tiago : Official Review - Team-BHP Category 2 : 1)Maruti Suzuki Nexa Ignis(1.2l), - Pros- Beautiful look from front, Nexa Service, Good Resell value, Safety rating is also good. Some people don’t like is its design and rear look. Width is also not good. You can go for Grand i10 and even for Baleno because its pricing is not good. Maruti Ignis : Official Review - Team-BHP 2)Hyundai i10/Grand i10,- Good Car, Very Popular as it is old and great competitor of Maruti Swift. Interiors have ,best-in-class, fit, finish & quality. Both variant have 1.2l engine. Space might be an issue.Missing Climate Control feature. Cheaper than its rival Swift. Hyundai Grand i10 : Official Review - Team-BHP 3) Maruti Suzuki Swift- ,Most Popular car at this price segment. 2018 model looks good but more spacious & comfortable Baleno is priced not too far away. Great service and resell value. Maruti Swift : Official Review - Team-BHP 4) Tata Tigor-, Good Car from Tata. Spacy but width is less and good looking. Good Service but 6 months service period. Good Power as compare to Baleno but 3 Cylinder. Amazing 8-speaker ,Harman, entertainment system. I,t has two driving modes feature., Resell value is gamble. Tata Tigor : Official Review - Team-BHP Category 3: 1)Maruti Suzuki Swift Desire-, Good car. Looks awesome. No1 compact sadan. Little pricey. Maruti Dzire : Official Review - Team-BHP 2)Maruti Suzuki Nexa Baleno-, Awesome car. no1 hatchback.Best selling. Every thing is awesome as you get nexa service. Weight is little less. Interior plastic is not very high end. Comfortable riding experience. Very Spacious, Maruti Baleno : Official Review - Team-BHP 3)Hyundai i20 elite/active-, Very good car.No2 best selling hatchback.Every thing is fine but little expensive than the baleno. Elite-, Rear wiper only on the top Asta trim! No fuel-efficiency indicator, auto-locking doors or height-adjustable seatbelts on any variant. Mediocre highway performance for a premium hatchback. But loaded with features & gizmos (16" rims, keyless entry & go, 8-speaker stereo, rake & reach steering, rear air-con, reversing cam, cooled glovebox and lots more) Hyundai Elite i20 : Official Review - Team-BHP Active-, On-road price is over a lakh more than the equivalent Elite i20 variants. Petrol unavailable in the top SX trim (no passenger-side Airbag, rear wash / wipe, splitting rear seat etc.) Good ground clearance, Everything is fine. Hyundai i20 Active: A Close Look - Team-BHP 4)Ford Figo Aspire,- Another sadan. Good car. Lighter Build Quality. Commuter 1.2L petrol is unimpressive. A mediocre engine. Ford Aspire : Official Review - Team-BHP 5)Tata Zest-, Very good car. India's first diesel-automatic in the C1 segment. Affordable, convenient & low running costs. Everything is fine but Poor in-cabin storage & missing niceties (rear seat armrest, dead pedal, seatbelt height adjustment). Resell is gamble. Tata Zest : Official Review - Team-BHP 6)Honda Jazz-, Good car from honda. Big 354 liter boot is the segment best. ,Magic seats, bring tons of flexibility(only in higher varient). Features such as feather-touch climate control, reversing camera, touchscreen ICE, paddle shifters (CVT) & more. Skinny 175 mm tyres. All competitors offer thicker rubber (Elite i20 = 195 mm). Missing goodies (steering reach adjustment, keyless entry & go, rear air-con vents, driver armrest & proper dead pedal). Resale value is gamble. Honda Jazz : Official Review - Team-BHP Note:- Resell value depends on your luck. And all pics are of top variant. Thanks if you like my answer then give a upvote

What car is more worth, the i20 Elite 2018 or the new Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018?

Both, the Swift and the Elite i20, are worth. It all depends on your brand choice as both are almost loaded with same features and specs. Some differences to be noticed are: When we compare the top petrol variants of both, the prices are nearby. The MS Swift ZXi+ costs Rs. 7.29 lakhs while the Hyundai Elite i20 costs Rs. 7.37 lakhs, ex-showroom. Elite i20 has a longer wheelbase, so more interior space and comfort for the rear row. It also has better ground clearance. The kerb weight of Swift has been decreased to 880 kg in order to increase the performance, which is not considered as a good sign. The Hyundai Elite i20 gets 1066 kg kerb weight. Boot space is also more in case of the Elite i20. The Swift also has increased boot space than its predecessor which is not much behind the Elite i20. Both the cars are powered with 1.2L petrol engines. While in diesel variants, Swift gets a 1.2L diesel engine while the Elite i20 gets a 1.4L diesel engine. In petrol variants, Swift is claimed to give 22 kmpl while the Elite i20 is claimed to give 18 kmpl only. In diesel variants, Swift is claimed to give 28 kmpl while the Elite i20 can give only 22 kmpl as claimed. In features, the Swift gets additional EBD and Brake Assist features along with the ABS, while the Elite gets only the ABS. Rear AC vents which is now seen in most of the sedans is present in the Elite while it is missed in the Swift. But swift gets the keyless start/stop function on its top variants which is not present in the Elite. In interior, the Elite has driver armrest with storage and cooled glove box which the Swift misses. The new Swift gets LED headlamps as well as tail lamps with automatic headlamps features while the Elite is still with the conventional lamps. In instrumentation, Swift gets multifunction trip meter and average fuel consumption while the Elite gets 2 electronic trip meters, average speed and dynamic gear shift indicator. While the Swift gets the voice command feature, the Elite misses it even on the top variant. Maruti Suzuki Swift 2018 Hyundai Elite i20 2018 Coming to personal views, go for the i20 if you can afford somewhat higher maintenance than MS with a little less economy. Build quality and comfort makes it perfect. Go for the new Swift, if you need low cost maintenance, better service network and best economy in the segment. Hope this helps. Thank You!

Is it worth paying extra for VXI compared to LXI for the new Swift Dzire 2017?

LXi - is just not what you want your Dzire to look like. It honestly looks like a full empty sedan . On the other side… VXi - this is what you actually want. By far the best Dzire model & this model is actually my favorite simply because it gives alot of stuff. The main attraction is the Stereo with Bluetooth & stereo mounted audio controls & it's actually the stereo that used to come in earlier top model , just different frame actually. It also has it's own remote. Body colored mirrors with turn indicators & body colored door handles , internal beige with faux wood touches. Wheel caps also present. rear AC vents with rear armrest with cupholders & host of other features I'm adding the features comparison photo with this. Hope , this helps Thanks & all the best. Reviews of Maruti Suzuki Swift?

I drive the Vxi trim of the 2015 Swift bought in May , 2015. Mileage-13600 km . I would start out on the practicality of this car. So firstly a big lack of practicality parameter, I noticed in the car is that the ingress & egress is a bit on the tougher side and hence you start having a lot of scratches on the frame of the car as a result. Also I feel there should be a height adjustment option for the drivers seat at least for better visibility. At under 200 L, boot space has no practicality for the purpose of it's extant when it comes to storing those trolley bags, on a long trip maybe. But the 60:40 split is a viable option, obviously when the back seats aren't occupied though. Rear legroom isn't a issue for those under 6 feet , but you do get cramped up when you're on the taller side. Hovering on the subject of rear seat's , you could easily seat 3 adults, if people don't mind rubbing shoulders and a bit of compromising. On the long journeys however, it's comfortable for 2 and the seats aren't bolstered and therfore it isn't quite snuggly as some people would want when on a long trip. The front seats are a different story though , it's bolstered well on the sides and if you're optimally built you would find these seats quite comfortable , big difference from the rear seats. Drivers seating position is without issues, wherever you legs seek support it can rest without any discomfort, though a small thing it goes big way. Though an armrest for the driver would be a good future addition to the practicality of the car. The pedals have a good feel to them , and they are quite the balance between long travel and short travel. The car has a very light steering feel with the right amount of weight you want in a steering to instill confidence, the car also responds aptly and swiftly (pun intended) when weaving through traffic. And though steering response is something we often overlook , it's certainly something you will be happy to have a car that has struck quite the balance in that department, because when you drive a car that has a very light steering wheel it's not very involving. The tilt & telescopic steering though pretty standard these a day's in most cars , is a feature that chimes in with a more comfortable position in the long drives. The suspension setup has a certain stiffness to it that allows you to take corners at quite the speed without easing out on the throttle and sneaking in some fun. And suprisingly you won't be noticing the ride quality until you go over some insanely huge potholes. Im not saying ride quality is the best though, you can't complain is all. Maruthi has struck quite a balance in this department between Stiffness and Ride quality. NVH levels aren't on the peaceful side for sure, especially when you compare it with the Polo. As for Entertainment, the music system is okay, it's like those 250Rs. heaphones, you hear the music playing but surely not all those different notes that you want to discern in it. Maybe not the best analogy. Change it out , I'll suggest. You should have been expecting to hear this, the build quality isn't good, you start hearing those small rattles which are a testament to the build quality and from there on it's you wishing everytime you sit in the car that you won't hear another new rattle harmonising with the existing ones. But that's something you'll be knowingly sacrificing when you're opting for a Maruthi Suzuki and you can justify it by looking on the side that MS scores, setting it's benchmark, the maintenance. Since I have had free service's upto this point, I cant add the exact amount on what a full service and checkup would cost, but I can testify that my old car was also an MS and servicing it was not so hard on the finances. The general notion is, the build quality being compromised means the car doesn't handle well at critical speeds, I've gone upto it's maximum speed of 160kmph and have had no issue on stability or handling, though I partially owe it to the full weight on board the vehicle at that time, maybe a much emptier Swift would have issues. One serious drawback the swift has are it's stopping power, below certain speeds the braking power will suffice, but want to reduce high momentum's suddenly , then you're in for a world of disbelief that why the car isn't stopping as well as it does in lower speeds. Partly why you shouldn't go very fast in a swift beside the usual high speed crusing problems. It returns a FE of 14kmpl, I drive a bit hard and mostly on city roads. I have a friend who has better FE at around 14.5kmpl, but by now you have surely got the notion of 18kmpl as cited by ARAI is bogus in real world conditions. If you're a avid driver , Swift will quench your desires , at least most of them, with its comparably better acceleration, it's responsiveness to full throttle, steering responsiveness, just from the top of my mind. It's missed out on many things but the car still carving up a place for itself in the top 5 selling car s (in quantity, monthly ) for over 10 years, means it's surely struck a chord with many user's(and me) to maintain that position in such a evolving, sensitive car market in India. You won't regret if you purchase, I'll attest to that.

Is it possible to add an arm rest with rear AC vents in Suzuki Swift additionally?

Armrest is possible but rear ac vent is unfortunately not. Armrests can be fitted in good car accessories stores with some sense of ,jugaad. ,Rear AC vents cannot be fixed although cooling can be made quicker by keeping the AC in good condition and using it smartly.

Which car should I buy - a Baleno or the new Dzire?

Swift Dzire has been a very successful entry level sedan, it has been consistently present in top 5 cars sold every month. Baleno has been a new entry by Maruti Suzuki, it is the first car to be exported from India to Japan and other European countries. Baleno is one the cars with Standard Safety features like ABS (Anti Lock Braking System), EBD (Electronic Brake Force Distribution) and Dual Air Bag (Driver and Co-Driver) standard across all the models. So even if you purchase base model of Baleno i.e sigma 1.2 you will have all the standard safety features. So no extra cost for safety. whil Other Maruti Cars you pay extra for safety features for example the major difference between top model of Swift Dzire Second top model (Vxi or Vdi) and top model (Zxi or Zdi ) is security features, and top model costs almost 80 thousand costlier. Other Features: Baleno is far Better than Swift Dzire Baleno Swift Dzire Brake Assistance Yes No Central Locking Keyless Remote Steering Adjustment Tilt & Telescopic Tilt only Parking Sensors Rear No Parking Assist Reverse Camerea No Anti-glare Mirrors Electronic – Internal Only Manual – Internal Only Leather-wrapped Steering Wheel Yes No Leather-wrapped Gear Knob Yes No Driver Armrest Yes No Interiors Single Tone Double Tone Rear Armrest No Yes Split Rear Seat 60:40 Split No Rear Wiper Yes No One Touch Up Driver No One Touch Down No Driver Headlamp Projector Conventional Follow Me Home Headlamps Yes No Daytime Running Lights Yes No Tail Lamps LET Conventional Display Touch Screen No GPS Navigation System Yes No Trip Meter Electronic 2 trips No Gear Indicator Yes No Shift Indicator Yes No Instantaneous consumption Yest No hope it helps

Which car should I buy, Swift, Tiago or and i10?

Maruti Suzuki Swift, Tata Tiago and Hyundai i10 all falls into the segment of hatchback, also they all are offered only in petrol engine. Let’s understand the pros and cons of each of them. If we speak of Hyundai i10 the pros are that it has projector headlamps, large touchscreen and stylish design and the cons are there’s no traction control, dual stage airbags are missing, lack of cruise control while Maruti Suzuki Swift has projector headlamps, LED daytime running light and cons are the absence of driver & rear armrest, absence of rear AC, no cruise control whereas ,Tata Tiago, has ample of storage space, outstanding design in its segment, best in class infotainment system and cons would be that it is only suitable for 4 people its basically a family purpose car. It depends on your budget and usage of the vehicle, for now Tata Tiago has proved to be best in the segment but at the same time Swift is no less of a car. Maruti Suzuki Swift has been the topmost selling car in the year of 2020 of course due to Maruti’s excellent after sale services and high resale value. Considering all these factors, one must make a choice.

Buying Cars: Which car should I buy between Maruti Suzuki Baleno and Honda Amaze?

The Baleno is a hatchback, with a generous boot (339 litres) for its size, while the Amaze is a hatchback converted to a sedan with a little larger boot (400 litres). Aside from that, the Amaze has an armrest for the rear passengers, the Baleno does not. Top end variant of Baleno gets driver armrest though, something most hatchbacks don't offer at all. The Baleno has projector headlamps on the top variant, the Amaze doesn't offer this yet. The Baleno is bigger, yet lighter than the Swift - that does bring into question just how safe it is. As yet the crash reports are not out yet, so it's hard to comment on the Baleno's safety, even if airbags are standard fitment. What you get in the Baleno is better interiors and refinement, compared to the more plain interiors of the Amaze. The Amaze diesel engine has more power, but is less refined, so not so much of a win there either. The petrol engines in both are 1.2 litres, with 84-88hp, with a little edge to the Honda but that's pulling more weight, so the Baleno ends up with a little better power to weight ratio. Unless that little extra space is important (tall family members), the Baleno looks like a better car overall, save for the as-yet-unknown safety.
