@India_Yamaha I noticed a misalignment in the fuel tank case on my new FZ v3. Is this normal or should I get it fixed? The new handlebar lock has made the fuel case flimsy. For the most expensive bike in this segment, such defecta are surprising. https://t.co/13jtEDorbs

FZS V2.0 Fuel tank is made by steel having a cover of fiber. I think, fiber covering is better over steel fuel tank of motorcycle because of rise in global atmospheric temperature there is a chance of explosion of fuel tank & it has been reported somewhere in India where temperature is high like Rajasthan (in summer 40–49°C). So, I take it positively. Note : Avoid 100% fuel filling in the motorcycles during summer.
In my opinion, you can have the fuel tank panel from the service center to be safe. If the price is too steep and you can't afford it, then tough luck unless you know certain aftermarket guy or mechanic who can get you the stuffs at a much cheaper price. I would suggest what the others have reiterated. Stick to the service center's product. Hope this helps Ciao.
I suffered with hydrocele problem during 2016–2017.After doing some research i found it is bcz of some trigger in my case it was stress of fuel tank when applying sudden brake( not mentioning bike model intentionally as it will happen to any bike with big fuel tank). Once i changed to activa its gone forever.
The fuel tank in the Fz is made of steel. The fibre that you see is the outer shroud over the tank. Also, the fuel tank and its shroud are very tough. I've ridden while sitting on the shroud for about half an hour and it didn't so much as creak.
Both have same fuel tanks. The only difference is in them is cosmetics and other is the wheelbase as fzs has 50mm longer wheelbase than fz.
