Honda City Design and Styling The 2017 Honda City facelift retains its silhouette but the exterior styling has received some considerable updates. Among the new changes, the City facelift now comes with a new set of LED headlamps with LED daytime running lamps (DRLs). The car also gets a revised front grille with a stylish chrome slat and some other minor tweaks. The profile, on the other hand, remains largely unchanged with the exception of new sporty alloy wheels and mildly tweaked ORVMs. The rear has also been updated with LED taillamps, boot lid-mounted spoiler with integrated LED high mount stop lamp. Interior The cabin of the 2017 Honda City has also gone through a makeover and features better quality seats upholstered in either fabric and faux leather. There are front and rear seat armrests along with leather-wrapped steering wheel, gear lever, and door armrest. The updated city comes with a light cream or beige coloured cabin with good usage of soft touch plastics and other high-quality material. Comfort and Safety features The updated Honda City will come with a new 7-inch advanced infotainment with turn-by-turn navigation, 1.5 GB media memory, MirrorLink smartphone connectivity, WiFi USB receiver support, voice recognition, HDMI-in port and microSD card slots, and a rear-view camera. Other features include - power folding door mirrors, manual driver seat height adjuster, cruise control, automatic climate control with touch control panel and rear AC vents. Safety offerings include dual airbags, anti-lock brakes system with electronic brake-force distribution, ISOFIX compatible rear side seats, etc. as standard provisions. Engine Specifications The new Honda City will receive a choice of two engine options: the 1.5 litre iVTEC petrol developing 118 bhp and 145 Nm and a 1.5-litre iDTEC that puts out 99 bhp and a maximum torque of 200 Nm. For transmission, the petrol unit will be offered with a five-speed MT or a CVT with paddle shifters, while the diesel engine will get only a six-speed MT. Maruti Suzuki's Ciaz Design and Styling As for the Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, the car comes with the signature long sedan-like profile that has been a major USP for the car. In terms of styling, the Ciaz hasn't received a facelift yet so you get the same four-slat chrome grille flanked by large sweptback headlamps with projector lights, a muscular front bumper housing the central air dam and plastic inserts for the fog lamps. From the sides, the Ciaz has a silhouette that reminds you of the Honda City with similar character lines. The Ciaz does come with a completely different set of alloys wheels and ORVMs though. The rear also gets very similar looking taillamps to that seen on the City and is connected by a slim chrome slat, while the rest of the design unique to the Ciaz. In fact, the Ciaz facelift is also on its way this year which should make the competition interesting. Interior The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz comes with dual tone beige and black cabin with dark brown panels on the dashboard and doors. The seats are well contoured and come with the option of either fabric or leather upholstery. There are armrests for both driver and rear passenger with decent headroom and legroom. Comfort and Safety features The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz also comes with a touchscreen infotainment system with audio player along with Bluetooth and AUX-IN connectivity. There are steering mounted controls for volume adjuster and to take or end calls. Other features include automatic climate control, keyless entry, rear AC vents, rear parking sensors, push-button start in specific variants and several other equipments. On the safety front, the car gets dual airbags as an option right from the base variant with ABS and EBD, the company has also standardised ISOFIX child seat mounts as added safety benefit. Engine Specifications The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.4 litre K-Series, petrol engine that develops 91 bhp along with a peak torque of 130Nm. Whereas, the diesel variant comes with the tried and tested 1.3-litre oil burner that is good for 89 bhp and 200 Nm. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 4-speed automatic torque converter. Source
Around 25000 to 35000. And also this does not include labor charges I guess. Changing to a different color is painful, as you have to definitely re-register the Car with RTA office. Because your RC card shows different color and your new color will be different. So, definitely you need to get permission and then have to change the color of the car(if it’s different one that you are opting). Otherwise, you can have some body wraps, or dualtone colors, or stickering for your car which gives you sporty looks of the car and later some point of time you can peel it off.
Honda City diesel second hand, nah! If it would've been petrol I would've said consider that. Coming to Tata tigor, I'm currently driving the same. I've been into and driven Swift dzire, Honda's Amaze, Ford'sAspire and Hyundai's Xcent. Compared in terms of spacing and interiors and comfort, I'll say Tigor was best even the rear seats are comfortable and with comparitively more leg space. In terms of features, yes Tigor lacks some things that it won't even affect you. Like sunglasses holder, leather wrapped steering wheel. Talking about engine, it is not at all sluggish. It performs well in appropriate conditions. Its not that I drive this car hence I'm praising it, I have a dzire from this segment too. And yes, I work at Maruti Suzuki, I was excited about the new dzire 2017 but when it came to the showroom I found my head was touching almost to the roof at the back seat. (I'm just 5′9) These are just my opinions and my suggestions, hope this helps you. Happy Car Buying :)
Toyota showcased its C-segment offering, the Yaris sedan, at the ,Auto Expo 2018,. Expected that the Yaris is offered with a 1.5 L VVT petrol engine. Rumoured that 1.4L Diesel engine may not make it to India due to emission norms. Toyota is planning to launch diesel engine with BS-6 emissions norms directly. The engine is followed by a 6 speed manual or 7 speed CVT automatic. Coming to features, Toyota Yaris packs all the premium features required for a c- segment sedan. It packs 7 airbags with tyre pressure monitoring system, dual tone dash, leather wrapped steering , centrally mounted 7 inch touch screen, front and rear parking sensors, vehicle stability control and hill-start assist, ABS (anti-lock brakes) with EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution) and brake assist, four disc brakes and ISOFIX child seat anchors, adjustable three-neck restraints for the rear seat,a roof-mounted rear AC with ambient lighting cabin, a powered driver’s seat, and a reversing camera. Have a glance at the Yaris cabin. Some missing features! Yaris lacks some premium feels with the absence of android auto/apple car play. We all expect a panaromic sunroof from a Japanese jaint , launching a c-segment car. But Toyota failed to offer sunroof, while it's rivals like Honda City offer it. Though we all may not like the front beak like Yaris face( I don't like it. I mentioned it hoping some more people will join with me) , it offers a great value to your money, standing out in it's Toyota' reliability and service. Well! Test drive every c segment car you like and buy one you like for yourself.
Once your registration is done you can have add some accessories. Alloy wheels if you are not happy with the company provided. (Personally, company provided one’s are also good on Honda City ZX version) Roof wrap based on your car color for more stylish look. Spoiler at back side for sports look Projector Fog lamps Dashboard trims Bose or Polk audio system
The new 2020 Honda City is bigger, longer and wider than the old generation. I would personally go with Chevrolet Cruze (if I had that much money). But as your constraint goes 7-11 lacs, I suggest to go with Honda City. Diesel variant for the mileage, also if you commute on it. If not a much of drive around in the car it would be best to go for petrol variant. As far as driving experience goes, City feels much lighter to drive than other cars e.g Volkswagen Vento. Both of these cars are similar in their attributes, but only changes goes that is the driving feel. Vento feels heavier and stable. That doesn't mean City is not safe. Its that, people from Honda have this much advanced technology put in the making of the frame with lighter material and still be strong enough. That even doesn't mean Volkswagen are backward in technology!! They have purposefully kept the Vento a bit heavier just to have the car felt better to their customers. To wrap it up, the City is most liked and stood up to its reputation from Honda.
The new 2020 Honda City is bigger, longer and wider than the old generation. It’s only the boot capacity which has been reduced to 506 litres compared to earlier generation which one is having 510 litres. The 2020 Honda City gets some features such as new chrome grille, full LED headlamps with LED DRLs, 3D wrap-around LED tail lamps, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, 7-inch semi digital MID, multi-function steering wheel with paddle shifter(only available in CVT) and electric sunroof. Talking about the Interior, It offers a dual-tone interior which is headlined by an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Weblink. Other features include automatic climate control, 7-inch semi-digital instrument cluster, Alexa voice command, connected technology. It is offered by a 1.5 litre Petrol Engine powered by EarthDreams Technology which produces 121 PS of power and a 1.5 litre diesel engine which produces 100 bhp. Talking about safety, it comprises Honda LaneWatch, side mirrors placed on doors instead of A-pillar which offers a better visiblity, six airbags, ABS with EBD and ISOFIX anchorage mounts. Recently, ASEAN NCAP has rated 5-star safety rating for 2020 City. Honda will continue to sell it’s 4th generation City along with it’s 5 the generation due to which there’s a possiblity that the new City will be overpriced. Hope you like the answer.
