I've never owned any Tata vehicle and ive never been a fan of TATA. Whenever i think of TATA I picture only three cars which are TATA Indica, Indigo and Nano and i don't like any of them. The image that i have of TATA in my mind is that Tata is a company that sells cheap quality cars. I just never think about TATA when im thinking or discussing cars. You won't find many TATA cars in major cities. There are none in my building or in the next building. I've seen the Tata harrier in videos and it looks good but what i don't like is that Tata took so many years to take inspiration from their own brand Range Rover. Over the years it has failed to create an image of being reliable and stylish brand. Inspite of being in the market for so many years the only car that managed to get my and many other people's attention is the Harrier. Indian car manufacturers need to really up their game. I'm not saying their cars are bad but im just saying i never bothered to look at any of their cars. Other options that you can look at are Toyota, Hyundai, Maruti and Honda.
Tata posts highest growth, Maruti posts highest sales – 2018 report. With a new year comes new opportunities. For the Indian auto industry that comes in the form of new launches or the introduction of variants and refreshed models. The three homegrown manufacturers are making an early start in this regard with Maruti Suzuki introducing launching the 2019 WagonR and Tata Motors launching the all new Harrier on January 23, 2019. Mahindra XUV300 compact SUV will be launched in February. An early start in successful segments is a key move as it gives manufacturers the opportunity to bring in dependable sales volumes over a larger number of months in a calendar year, and gets past the need to wait till the festive season to launch a new car to tap into positive buying sentiments. For auto manufacturers in India, 2018 sales (domestic) has ended on a note of struggle for some. The top ten list has 6 gainers and 4 losers. In all there’s 8 entities that ended the year on a sales decline. While Tata Motors sells a fraction of the number of cars Maruti sells, they find themselves at an enviable position at the top of the list at 26.3 percent sales growth. Ford Motors has grown 11.7 percent. Toyota lists growth at 8.5 percent, and the market leader by sales volume, Maruti Suzuki has reported 8 percent volume growth for Image2018. At fifth spot, Hyundai Motor India has reported its highest sales volume in a calendar year, and continues to sell the second highest number of cars in India. HMIL ended the year at 4.3 percent growth. Mahindra reported the least growth at 1.5 percent and finds itself sixth on the list. The company recently launched the Marazzo MPV and Alturas G4. Despite strong sales volumes from Honda Amaze for a few consecutive months, Honda Cars India reports 2.3 percent sales decline for 2018. Datsun India reports sales volume drop of 12 percent despite launching 2018 Datsun Go, and Go Plus in Q4 2018. Image: Top performers in terms of sales in 2018. Credit – JATO Dynamics. In penultimate spot is Volkswagen at 22.9 percent sales decline. Renault India reported 28.3 percent decline and is working on the launch of its all new Renault RBC MPV. Tata Motors set for grand 2019 with 7 new launches: Tata Harrier, Tata 45X to Tata Tiago EV; check details of all new cars Image: Tata Motors too is seen to line up a list of newbies in passenger cars in 2019, Image source: Reuters 2018 is almost over and it is time to look forward to a prosperous 2019 which promises a lot. For car lovers, these are exciting times too! Most manufacturers have already announced some exciting vehicles for the coming year. Tata Motors too is seen to line up a list of newbies in passenger cars in 2019. According to CarToq, here is the list of cars which will be launched soon by Tata Motors in 2019. Tata Harrier The new Tata Harrier is expected to be launched on January 23, 2019 in India. The 5-seater the first vehicle built on the Omega Arc platform. The car is uniquely designed with separate LED DRLs and headlamp cluster, which is located in the lower section in the bumper. It is powered by the 2.0-litre Multijet engine from Fiat. It generates a maximum of 140 PS and a peak torque of 350 Nm. Tata will reportedly not offer an automatic or 4X4 option with the Harrier at the time of launch. Tata Pelican The next big launch of the year by Tata would be Tata Pelican which is also expected to be launched in early 2019. The company is working on the next-generation Tata Nano project codenamed as Pelican. However, it is not confirmed that Tata will bring back the vehicle with a similar price tag as Nano. Tata Tiago EV This car was showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo and is expected to be launched in mid 2019. The reports say that the car is ready to get into the Indian market. The Tiago EV looks identical to the regular version but under the hood, there are batteries and electric motors. It gets powered by a 40 Bhp electric motor and the torque output is not known yet. Reportedly, Tata Tigor EV can be priced at Rs 8 lakh. Tata Harrier automatic Considering there is a great demand for automatic vehicles in the market, Tata Motors plan to also make its Harrier brand in this version later in 2019. Apart from being fully automatic version, this new Harrier will have similar 2.0-litre diesel engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Tata Nexon JTP Tata Nexon JTP is seen to an automatic version of the Harrier, and is expected to be launched later in September 2019. Just like Harier, Tata Nexon JTP will also be paired with the 2.0-litre diesel engine having a 6-speed automatic transmission sourced from Hyundai. Tata H7X Tata is working on a longer version of the Harrier which is Tata H7X, that would get three-row, packed with 7-seats set-up and it is expected to be launch in end 2019. It will be based on the same platform as the Harrier, however, will get a longer footprint. Furthermore, the H7X will also be differentiated in terms of looks in comparison to Harrier as it would get a straighter roofline. Whereas, Engine and transmission options of the car is expected to remain similar to the Harrier. Tata 45X Tata also showcased the 45X premium hatchback at the 2018 Auto Expo and it is expected to be launched in Early 2020. It is being known that, Tata 45X will be the first premium hatchback from the company, based on the Advanced Modular Platform (AMP). The car is expected to be powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a turbocharged diesel engine of 1.5-litre. My other answers: When would Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries Limited become the richest person on the Earth? What are Mukesh Ambani's plans to take on Amazon? What do you have to say about the latest TATA Cars in the market? Would they beat the long known players like Hyundai and Maruti? What are the strongest factors that would make Narendra Modi led BJP retain their win in Lokshaba Elections 2019 in India? Can Bezos (Amazon) beat Ambani (Reliance) without getting bruised? How were things like in the British era in India? What do the Indians have to say about it?
